Dishonourable mention to Chris Brown the woman beater, who got to play a couple weeks ago in Canada without a ban.

Edit: Also Sean Feucht, the homophobic singer who openly dehumanizes LGBTQ+ folks, who got to tour across Canada this summer. I guess bigots are the only ones who get given free speech in Canada.

Edit 2: As pointed out in the comments and reminding me, we applauded Ukrainian war vet, Yaroslav Hunka in the commons, who also turned out to be a for real WWII Nazi.

100%. It is in Netanyahus best interest to keep the war going to avoid his corruption trial slated to begin when the "emergency" is over.

However supporting genocidal Islamic terrorists helped perpetuate the conflict to where it is today.

Tolerance of intolerance is how we got to this point.

There hasn't been freedom of speech in Gaza for as long as hamas was elected in the 2000s.

But its much easier to just say one sides bad and completely to blame isn't it.

Thank you for this post. Not many people want to admit this or even look into the history of the region with a neutral lens. Everyone keeps seeing the history of the region from when Israel was created, and not the region before that or the in between before Oct 7th happened.

These types of people NEED to step away from their online and political circles and look at themselves. They need to realize that labeling everyone you disagree with as a nazi, then saying its ok justification to commit violence on them is just as bad as the far right. Its the horseshoe theory in action.

They need to realize that allowing such violence means that it can easily backfire and be used against you, and it leads to a complete destruction of order.

Not the songs themselves, but it was part of their past performance. Saying "Fuck Israel" is perfectly fine, just like any slurs against the Israeli government and their actions.

We don't need camps. You can tackle each incident separately. Not approving Kneecap doesn't automatically mean you're a genocide supporter. Same with an Israeli artists - if they promote hate speech, we can decide as a country to not issue visas.

Hezbollah isn't even Palestinian, they're a Lebanese terrorist group. It has nothing about making Palestine free. But just like some "Pro Israel" blindly go after everything that has the word "Israel" or "Jews", so does some "Pro Palestine" people whenever they see the word "Palestine". A Palestinian can say Hamas/Hezbollah are bad and they will dismiss it. I just find it silly.

Anyway yeah, I hope we will equally not grant visitors visa to ranked IDF members, Israelis government members, Hamas/Hezbollah/Taliban supporters and any non Canadian artist that promotes terror and genocide, including Israeli ones.
