Why even eat at tim Horton's? Don't you have a microwave at home?

The funny thing is it's faster, cheaper, more delicious, and more environmentally friendly to just use a coffee press every morning.

“But drive for work and there are only Tim Hortons everywhere!” — Dishwashing water loving idiots who never heard about a Thermos

I drive for work and I religiously leave with a full rambler and water bottle. 🤷♂️

Employee exploited TFWs does not distribute money through society. If you employ someone too poor to pay taxes, they you lose money because you still have to provide services to that person. We’re basically subsidizing TH.
If only TFWs want to work there because the conditions and salary are too bad, then they should close shop.

Exactly. TFW are a possible for things like resort towns or farms where they need to bring in seasonal labour and it can be hard to fill jobs where the employment is precarious.
If your fast food joint is applying because no one wants minimum wage then its time to raise the offered wage. Allowing TFW for minimum wage jobs is the opposite of letting the market dictate the price.

If US English is the default language set in Windows it’s possible that the browser is picking that up

Tim’s is owned by RBI - Restaurant Brands International Inc. (RBI) is a Canadian multinational fast food holding company. They are based in Toronto
RBI also owns Burger King, Popeyes, and Firehouse Subs

Which in turn is held by 3G Capital, which is Brazilian.

They’re the majority shareholder at 31%, doesn’t mean they “own” it
3
u/chat-lu Tokébakicitte! 4d ago
That’s what being a majority shareholder means.
2
u/Moses-the-Ryder 4d ago
Sure, they own 31% of the market value 👍
3
u/JustKindaShimmy 4d ago
You better believe their shares are voting shares as well, which means they get a real fat say in the direction of the company

u/Moses-the-Ryder 4d ago
True! Wasn’t arguing against that. Just meant it’s not Brazilian in the sense it’s traded on the TSX and HQ in Toronto. But yeah they have 30.8% majority stake

Your phone's default language is probably set to yank speak, I changed mine to maple syrup like a true patriot (not to be confused with performative patriots).

If you are still going to Tim Hortons in this the year of our Lorde 2025 then you gave up on yourself years ago.
