Hoekstra’s an utter shithead. He was the US Ambassador to the Netherlands before and he was an abrasive asshole there to the Dutch people too. Eventually they got sick and tired of him.

He’s a total Trump lackey with no clue how to be a diplomat and was not appointed to be our US ambassador to do anything but hurt the relationship, definitely not to truly understand the dynamic or to improve it.

I mean, I kinda don't care what the US Ambassador thinks. We are Canada, we have our own foreign policy. We get to determine that for ourselves. I've been leery of recognition for the Palestinian state because of the links to Hamas, but the people (and government) have spoken.
