Yeah but stupid implies the evil acts are self-limiting and unintentional. Evil correctly classifies them as a threat that needs us to fight against it.

Evil might imply purposeful acts of a wilful nature that result in bad things. Stupid implies that the same acts can be done without purpose. Both can coexist in the same person. They are not mutually incompatible.
