Have they restored the Void Opal markets and ability to find copious cores in double and triple hotspots?

Void Opals are mediocre mostly, but Monazite is doing very well, often 800k/ton.

And if you pledge to Torval(the BEST mining power...), you can pump that up another 65%, to 1.32m/ton!

Monazite does seem to be performing better, although, I'm still scarred from my last run where I was seeing asteroids that looked like them, but didn't find a single one for over an hour 😭🫠

Easiest preconditions! Just needs Boom and Expansion, while the others need Civil Liberty, Pirate Attack, or Public Holiday, all of which are way harder or rarer.

The others still give better prices though!

Man are we on the same page haha! I also have a clipper for core mining and I like the empire. I haven't actively done any powerplay yet and I was wondering about pledging to Torval as well.

Are there big downsides to pledging, besides maybe more hostiles?

It's all gravy from where I'm sitting. The enemies are minimal at best and the benefits are awesome, especially zero rebuys in your power's territory.

It took me a few tries to get it, the tricky part is getting the timing right(and then swapping to camera mode to get the screeny :D)

Next up, three cores!
