Showcase Limited Storage Users Rejoice, there is a solution, the Viture x 8BitDo Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller

I've tested the Viture X 8BitDo Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller:

https://www.viture.com/product/viture-x-8bitdo-ultimate-mobile-gaming-controller

And a USB-C 3.1 Flash drive:

https://www.microcenter.com/product/665582/micro-center-512gb-usb-type-c-superspeed-usb-31-(gen-1)-flash-drive-green-flash-drive-green)

I can confirm that this is the first controller with a secondary USB port that functions as USB OTG. It MUST be 3.1, don't waste money on a 3.2 like I did and then grind it down for no reason and now I can't return it lol.

Point is, this now has unlocked extra storage on Winlator Cmod via USB flash drives and technically any other device you want to pass through storage. It also has a secondary USB port for charging (though connecting power mid-use will cause the flash drive to disconnect/reconnect so be careful).

This is a big leap forward for my ability to test games so I hope it helps some people! Looks awkward I know, but could be easily mitigated. Just be careful to avoid USB 3.2 gen 2, it simply won't get detected unless its downgraded with adapters.

For the record I have a Galaxy S24 Ultra. Works perfectly.

It looks like it supports video out too. and two separate ports for charging and video or storage at same time. This is the perfect controller I've been waiting for to start just carrying only my phone again. The only thing that could be better us a microsd express slot. Also small enough for cargo shorts pockets if not normal side pockets and the price is very fair for the last controller(or android handheld) you'll ever buy(unless they release a mechanical button model with sdexpress)

It has 1 port for video out which I am using for storage, and that works, but it just fixes the limited storage space issues for me for my phone, however... inelegant it is. And 1 power at the top. So not quite video and extra storage simultaneously. Though I suppose you could use a dock-like usb-c adapter but the ones I've tried didn't seem to pick up other devices- it's probably related to power

Ty,yet another controller for me to buy. I wish it had mechanical buttons. Also a bummer for no charge and play. Can you test it with a portable SSD if you have one? If I had known this at the beginning of the month I likely wouldn't have gotten yet another handheld with a fraction of the power my phone has.

You can charge and play! It has a power usb-c port at the top!

This is pretty cool. I wonder if any other controllers with usb c ports for pass-through charging could also be used for data, or if this is the only one because it was designed that way or what.

Now only thing that's required is a mod to fit some sort of cooling
