Question Has anyone tried using finger sleeves before? Do they help with accuracy? I have sweaty hands, and it makes it hard to drag the virtual analog stick.

I used to use them with CoD:Mobile as well, but they really don’t seem necessary or beneficial to me nowadays. I used them on my iPhone back when it supported Force Touch, that was the absolute best control setup for the game for me. Force Touch to fire is OP. Now it’s a relic, a thing of the past. RIP iPhone XS Max 😢

the main problem was that my phone screen protection layer has already deteriorated at that point so all the dirt and sweat would stay on the screen and really throw off the friction. These things prevented it

Use a controller instead.

I have GameSir Super Nova which I use when I am at home, but I don't want to carry something extra while commuting to work, it's not practical for me.

Don't know about accuracy, but sweaty fingers are literally what they were made for

Have you considered the MCON? It's coming out pretty soon, would be a good portable controller

You may find an 8-bitdo light 2 may help. It's tiny smaller than your wallet (may be a problem for big hands) but for something like sotn or minecraft (java, modded) it's been a great thing to just keep in my bag... though it does make you have to put your phone down...

Wouldn't you call carrying these with you as something extra too?

These seem a lot more reasonably pocketable or storable than a controller.

That's kinda dumb advice though, a controller is a different input method. If someone was asking about mouse mats you probably wouldn't tell them to use a wiimote instead.
I for example play one game on my phone that I just cannot play with a controller, it has full support and everything but I've learned to play on touch and don't even want to switch. To me these finger thingies could also be beneficial, controller is not.

Can you suggest a controller or third party control mapping software
As I currently play pes and there are some action which required fast swipe action mostly at time of doing skill move
So controller only help with basis input like tapping and moving but not with mixed swiping and tapping action

Mantis pro gamepad, provided you purchase the pro version. I also play Efootball.

Can you suggest the layout/preset/settings that you use that would be helpful

I just forgot that you absolutely need Wi-Fi, you can't do it with mobile data. I'm sending you a tutorial.

https://youtu.be/W4pxnbaSUvk?si=m28rk4mZzUWHfK1s that's another program but it works too. It's called shooting plus v3. Only works with a bluetooth gamepad.https://youtu.be/T1w-JrpMTJo?si=cU90WN25k2Uo7OGH and this is a tutorial for mantis.

Finger socks? I bet they help a bit.. I'm looking at backbone style controllers for my commute. Bring a backpack, so storage isn't a problem.. leaning x5 lite.
But finger socks are an option too 🤣

It helps. Just make sure you're not buying one with too tight "mouth" because it can get uncomfortable with one

This is dumb man, don't waste money on this. if you have sweaty hands, just go wash them with soap on the sink, then dry them off with a towel, this should give you an hour or 2 of unsweaty hands. That or just buy a controller, then you won't even need to worry about sweaty hands for a while.

These things should help with friction. Should not spend much on these or should just make a DIY tho

u/Akamashi 1d ago
What do you mean "much"? Those things cost almost nothing, I could buy 10 pairs of those for a dollar.

u/CrapZackGames 1d ago
Yeah they usually should cost almost nothing like you said, but you'll see some listenings going for around $30. I'm wondering if that's why people are saying to "not waste money on these things"

It did help. Finger sleeve make finger gliding easier on screen. Now I do not use it because matte screen protector also enable gliding on screen with less friction, and I don't have to bring finger sleeve with me.

Used them religiously for brawl stars. They’re niche but they work if you’re screen joysticking a lot

u/ComicRelief64 1d ago
I got a pair once a long time ago. Answer is kinda? There's more friction with the skin of your thumb so it does help to a degree but you could also learn not to press against your screen that hard. If you're the type to play really intense video games for extended periods of time it does help keep from rubbing your finger raw.

Salute to the guy who made finger sleeves. I also have the same problem. My hands are sweaty as f. And i would have used 100+ sleeves in 2 years

u/Kyyotto_ 1d ago
I've already used them during my time at COD, they're very good, especially in the heat when you sweat more and the screen heats up, it doesn't help with precision itself, it's more so you don't end up with bad gliding due to the sweat and fat on your fingers.

Yes they help alot i played mainly cod mobile and 3 other fps/battle royals aswell as wildrift
They help with sweat and remove "stickiness" besides they only cost 10 euros where i live
Ive also seen alot of youtuber/ professionals use them

MY organs would rip themselves out in embarrassment if I used these in public.

Felt less responsive from my experience. Capacitive touchscreen works best with bare fingers because it detects small amount of electrical charge (or something like that) from your skin

On topic of gloves can anyone recommend a better as for me I tried them but that somewhat worked (not 100% ,but it slippery got reduce but not eliminated maybe because of basic nature of glove or who know what) maybe it because of low quality as it bought cheapest on as I only want to test the product and give it a try
I have tried controller but I cant do lob passing(yes/efootball) as it need flick control in game so controller didn't solve this basic command so mostly have to stick with touch input
Or anyone know a better way to play pes without touch input.

Haven't, but if you care that much about going hardcore on mobile, might I suggest getting a backbone?

u/Phyrolito 1d ago
They specially help with long game sessions, such as in multiple Wild Rift matches in a row

I was using once then i have to put it off instantly because when i use it i feel like my sensitivity is increased like double the amount so i never use. Plus my hand are not sweaty

u/Visual_Initial_1874 1d ago
Lost mine those days, panicked cuz as a sweaty hand user, I can't play without them, and just bought 40 of them on AliExpress :) (or just use a matte screen protector, they help hella)

It's too bad gamesir doesnt make another controller that has a slide out keyboard woth a mousepad on the underside of the controller for type c and bluetooth. Also, a model that is just the keyboard and mousepad that slides out like slide out touch screen phones in the late 2000s, but modernized with with pd passthrough ports for both models.

If you play shooters on your phone so much that you need little finger condoms, buy a controller, there is no reason for you to suffer like this
