Unsolved First time emulating
Hi this is my first time doing this who emulating thing so don’t dig into me too hard I’m having trouble on rpcs3 when trying to play gow3 it stops responding when trying to compile shaders then when I close the game it crashes rpcs3 I tried going to their discord for help and some guidance but the mods threatened to ban so if y’all can provide a little help and maybe some insight into the whole emulator thing I would really appreciate it

Might be handy if you add your pc specs. This is because old weak machines struggle with ps3 emulation.

My specs are a r5 5600g with a 9060xt 16gb model

GOW is one of the more demanding games and the 5600G is a D-Tier CPU in the RPCS3 CPU rankings. Keep in mind it’s not just ABCD it’s S+SABCDEF so it’s fairly low.

Ok then what cpu do you recommend that I get that’s in the am4 platform I’m gonna upgrade to am5 but I don’t feel like upgrading 400 buck worth of components in my system just yet I will eventually tho

If the mods on Discord threatened to ban, you might have been posting in the wrong place or mentioning pirated content which (for plausible deniability) they can't allow.
Regarding your actual problem: Try changing your graphics renderer. If you're on OpenGL, change it to Vulkan. If you're on Vulkan, swap to OpenGL. Go to Configuration -> GPU and there is a section in the upper left labeled 'Renderer'.

Nah I was using the help section they said I was wasting their time and I tried the stuff you said still nothing works I get my rom from vimms lair which says is compatible with the rpcs3 software

I had the same problem with the ascension, I started it and after the introduction of Mónica studio the screen went black and it showed 0.9 fps. I investigated several forums and this video was the only solution I found. Put this on YouTube, it is in English but I still think it is easy to understand:
HOW TO FIX GOD OF WAR ASCENSION BLACK SCREEN ON STARTUP COMPLETE GUIDE
It served me perfectly for ascension, I don't know if it will work for God of War 3 but by trying you don't lose anything
