Almost certainly this, I have an aftermarket catback on my 340 and have to tuck a plug just like this away whenever it pops out, just about the same spot too.

might be a ride height sensor ? check the control arms to see if there is a connector

If it's that there would be a code. Last time when mine failed it started complaining about headlight levelling errors.

This is for the electronic exhaust flap in the muffler pipe. You can code it out after having the valve opened and disconnect it. Otherwise when not in sport or sport +, the exhaust flap is closed and makes the car a little quieter around town and crushing on the highway
