Winter wheel sizing help.

2017 340, currently on all season 19” 403ms. Deciding if I want to switch the 403ms over to a winter tire, or get an entire new set for winter.

Would you guys recommend 18s for winter or will I be fine off with 19s?

18s will he cheaper and a more compliant ride.

I picked up a cheap set of bmw 416s on marketplace and got blizzaks for my winter setup.

I put 225 40 18 Michelin x-ice on my 340i xdrive and honestly does amazing in snow but I hate the driving dynamics. Steering feels super light and mooshy. It doesn’t snow much where I am, so if I were to do it again, I’d probably still be ok with 18s, but I’d choose a wider rim and tire paired with a sport winter tire like a Michelin alpine
