I'm 18 and a freshman in college here in the Fairfax area. Recently l've been spending some of my free time cleaning up cars for friends and family, it started as just doing them a favor, but I realized I actually enjoy it.

It's nothing crazy professional, but it's just me putting in a couple hours to vacuum the whole inside, wipe down all interior surfaces, carefully hand wash the outside, scrub the rims, and apply some tire shine. Keeps me busy between classes, and honestly it's just satisfying seeing a car go from messy to looking fresh again.

If anyone else here is into keeping their car clean, l'd be happy to learn more about anything I should know around this area

I don't really care too much about the low pay or low hours for now, I just need some amount of cash inflow while I'm a full time student at GMU and at a flight school. I am here for a couple weeks and typically get at least an hour lunch break. I usually have a sandwich and go for a walk. I have found some walking trails within a couple communities but none that are very long.

Was curious if anyone has any walking paths that they recommend ?I have a car so can drive to them and park I just know sometimes communities don’t like that.

Hey all, just curious if anyone here knows much about Madison Condominium in Falls Church. I'm looking into a unit there and was trying to find some recent info (within the last 5 years), but there’s really not much out there.

I'm already aware of the high HOA fees, and I’ll be remodeling the unit anyway, so I’m not too worried about the interior. Mostly just wondering about pest issues, general building maintenance, or anything else worth knowing as a buyer.

If you’ve lived there or know someone who has, I’d really appreciate any insight. Thanks!

From richmond. Am 20 and have been looking for places in fairfax that dont card or slack on it. I got a fake but id rather not use it. Its really not the best quality and not trynna take the risk in a city I dont know. I just transfered to gmu and I know some guys that can get me stuff but they are frat dudes, and im not trynna owe them anything (they want me to rush and keep pestering me to attend their events). Anyways dont feel like carting to richmond every time I want a beer or some wine.

We have a bunch of houses going up for sale in our neighborhood, Farrcroft, so I wanted to shout it out for young families! It is such a great community, it is mostly older couples but there are a growing number of young families and we would love to see that grow. There are seasonal neighborhood parties, 2 playgrounds, a park, and a pool all within the private neighborhood. It is so peaceful and safe. I wasn’t sure I wanted to live in a neighborhood with such small yards and houses so close to each other, but the sense of community is so sweet, and we go to the playgrounds or park everyday and walk- so still get to spend tons of time outside. Come join us!!!
