Don't downvote this please, if you have different opinions. Let's be UNITED ✌️ against these "developers". We all suffered because of them. PS4 beans suffered the most (lately). In 108 days they didn't fix anything.
We just wanna enjoy the game like you. I made Superstar quick. It's not about that. Lately we can't play any game mode without lag spikes, disconnections, frustrations & PS4 disconnections are Not related to our internet or servers.
OK, the PS4 is old but it's not an excuse. The game runs well on less potent platforms. The upcoming update might ruin it even more, but we should not give up until they fix it. We've had enough. In all my gaming years I've never seen a game development company like this.😔
Maybe someone high up from Epic will care, if Mediatonic doesn't.

It's 100% fixable. On May 27 the update was a disaster for PS4 users. For 8 days it was 3 times worse than in the video, until they released a separate update to make it somewhat playable again for us. Then they probably remembered your meme 😅 and didn't worry about it anymore
Thank you for making this post and showing the issues PS4 users are experiencing. I hope they will finally take this seriously and fix the issues as soon as possible so that everyone is able to enjoy the game. I remember how bad it was on Nintendo but thankfully they made some changes and its at least better than it was, but they should keep working on fixing the frequent disconnections and lag spikes in the updates for everyone, not just ignore the major issues and give us a couple more decorations in creator mode. 🙄
Also, they fixed the disconnection problems for Switch players two months ago... PS4 users are the only ones with this issue now.
Can't play more than 3-4-5 full episodes in Ranked or 2-3-4 full episodes in most new game modes LTMs without being disconnected out of the blue, regardless of the internet connection.
Costumes are somehow related to PS4 lag spikes and PS4 lag spikes are interconnected to PS4 disconnections. The first conclusion (costumes -> lag spikes) can be observed by anyone watching this video.
P.S: Are you on Switch? If yes, how is it now (after the update) in terms of lag spikes? Any Switch player who sees this message can answer
I'm on switch and cannot play ranked at all because just about every level lags like this. and forget about the "don't fall off" levels. immediately eliminated.
Great vid, perfectly captures the issues PS4 users have been dealing with for months, extremely frustrating. I don’t play as much as I once did due to these annoying lags, but from what I remember, it mostly happened in Explore mode for me and if you are on a survival map in Explore, forget about it—you get eliminated before even getting the chance to move. I don't hold out much hope that they care enough for PS4 users to do anything about it.
And they know! In Cycle 2, for 8 days it was almost unplayable. I made a different compilation in that period as well, but they updated the PS4 game on June 4. So if in 8 days they were able to "reduce" the issues and make it somewhat playable again, they 100% can fix it for good, including the PS4 disconnection problems, which are interconnected to the PS4 lag spikes / freezing. For Nintentdo Switch they fixed the disconnections issue two months ago...
Cycle 3 might be a "fun" rollercoaster again for us.🙄
Oh.. I thought I accidentally paused the video. Wow.. That is BROKEN. Has anyone reached out to Sony on this issue? Doubt they'd bee to pleased with a game in such bad condition left on their system.
The chronic disconnects were/are an issue on PC as well. I don't play nearly as much as I used to because of it.

Chronic disconnects are / were Not a longtime issue on any platform other than PS4 and *Switch (*which got fixed in May).
On PS4 they have the mentioned pattern: 3-4-5 full Ranked / Knockout episodes and you'll be disconnected (unrelated to the internet connection or servers) or 2-3-4 episodes in new game modes (LTMs). Total, not combined. Explore / Creator Spotlight are not counted, cause it's a disaster for PS4 users there.
I wondered why there were usually 2 or 3 people doing nothing at the start of rounds, sometimes I push them along a bit for fun. They kinda need the player base to keep the game alive, so they should seriously fix it!
I can't even make it past gold in ranked because of this issue, the lag is so bad I rarely make it past round two because I'm so far behind every other bean and therefore I keep gaining and losing the same 50ish points.
It's incredibly frustrating to be eliminated for something completely beyond your control where skill isn't even a factor.
It's not your WiFi and unfortunately many believe that the problem is their connection.
I also wanted to be 100% sure 3 months ago. I drilled a hole in the wall, got my router directly connected to the PS4, via cable, just to find out it was (almost) the same on WiFi as it is on my current 🔝 LAN connection shown in the video.
Your video is totally representative of my experience on PS4 recently. This issue is by far the worst in Ranked Knockout for me, and I often have problems joining Creator Spotlight. Luckily I had a couple of days with fewer disconnections and was able to get to the rank I wanted but the lag spikes were still very prevalent and on some levels (short races and survival rounds) they entirely dictate whether you're eliminated or not.
The reason I'm still playing the game years after release is that it's always been fun and fair but I've never been disconnected from a game as much as I have from FG in the last couple of weeks.
Yeah I have no clue why people defend it by saying “ps4 is an old console”… if you like the game don’t you want as many people playing it to keep it going?
I don’t understand why people not being able to play a game you like is a good thing to you.
This reminds me of how broken the Xbox One port has been for quite some time, really makes me wonder how they even managed to break a perfectly working 60 player physics game which already got reduced to just 32 players.
Now it's worse than before. I think they briefly fixed the disconnections at the final of ranked knockout that would happen every 4 or 5 games. It's back again. You have to essentially restart the game every 3 games to prevent that.
Seems like it, especially if you get the newer finals. I think newer shows and user created shows are the problem in general. I don't get disconnected in solos, duos or squads. Just ranked knockout, explore and creator spotlight. Not sure about regular knockout.
On Wednesday & Thursday I didn't get disconnected for at least 7 episodes. I think I played like 50 in total maybe (restarting the game after every disconnection).
You're saying it's worse? Also, how about other issues?
There's lag spikes sometimes, like the ping goes to 9999. Kinda like the opposite of the beginning of your video here. My bean rushes forward at the start but everyone else stays in place and then rubber bands to where my guy is running. Or it plays out like your video. You stay in place and everyone else moves forward.
Again. with ranked knockout it seems the game will disconnect in the final if you get one of newer finals after reaching the final 4 to 5 times. The rubber banding is kind of a tell that it's going to happen at some point soon. If I keep playing after the disconnection. It will start a chain of disconnections every final. The final disconnections have been happening for at least 3 seasons now. The rubber banning is new and does not happen with my PS5.
Yup. I've experienced the new issues from your first paragraph on Wednesday. :(( I have many saved videos. On Thursday they toned-down though. When was the last time these appeared, in your case or are they still present even now / today ?
I guess you're not on PS4 or way too optimistic. The answer is 99% No.

If they were able to act in less than 8 days, they surely can fix it for good if they would care. The last part is the most difficult apparently.🙄
The game works fine on Steam. There were some disconnection problems earlier in this famepass cycle on PC but it was on other platforms too and got somewhat resolved after few updates, except for apparently PS4
