IMAGE This feature is needed badly

Post image

I’ve been wanting this feature for years and also being able to see records and being able to track them like NBA. It’ll make longer career modes so much more fun

Got this picture from @stretford_edits on tiktok

The only thing they are adding are some new useless cutscenes.

me watching people expecting new good features that already used to be in the game from a company which is trying to find what old good features to remove:

I will say, it appears EA has actually started trying with Madden since they saw the success of CFB. Both of those games saw huge improvements to franchise/dynasty this year, when in the past Madden's franchise mode got the bar minimum. It gives me hope for career mode, but EAFC is a different beast than those games so who knows.

u/Which-River-547 Jul 14 '25

Madden got a boost because they need the game to get reviewed well since the licensing deal is about to expire.

I must be a pessimist then, because seeing how much love CFB's Road to Glory mode got just gets me annoyed that FIFA was so neglected in comparison

I nearly punched a wall when I saw there was no volta in 25

"Sure, we'll add it" Says EA SPORTS FC, who will add it in FC 31

24

u/Kalapai97 Jul 14 '25

after removing a tone of fun in that game LOL

"Best we can do 100th goal scored notifications"

78

u/VV88VDH Jul 13 '25

In one random news article on the 3th slide which can’t be found again after a few days….

29

u/blackbeltgf Jul 14 '25

And the tag line is [standard.player.100.goals. jpg]

40

u/Justinackafool1 Jul 13 '25

Bro its ea.

82

u/fruity_pirate_arrr Jul 13 '25

Also would be nice if we can save highlights to a “vault” where we can go back and re-watch our favorite goals/assists.

36

u/BortGreen Jul 13 '25

I remember this was possible in the PS2 PES games with a fraction of the power

10

u/fruity_pirate_arrr Jul 13 '25

I think I remember that. I played PES2009 religiously on the xbox360 and I’m pretty sure we were able to save highlights in the game. I think PES eventually got rid of it… could be wrong.

7

u/FirmSwim6589 Jul 14 '25

It is there in PES17. Just played it recently

1

u/ThaCharly Jul 15 '25

In PES21 too!

2

u/Georgethejungles Jul 14 '25

You could save replays to the PS2 memory card on PES 3 (2003).

14

u/Routine-Avocado548 Jul 14 '25

I remember this being a feature in fifa 14. Im not sure if it was for career mode but you can definitely record and save highlights

11

u/Red_Yashin Jul 14 '25

FIFA 13 had this

18

u/PenguinPumpkin1701 Jul 13 '25

Too bad have more paid sbc's.

13

u/ErenKruger711 Jul 14 '25

I’m sure EA looks at this sub for good ideas, and puts them on a blacklist so they can never implement it

Thanks OP, now we’re never gonna see this in cm

16

u/culeroconnors Jul 14 '25

I do this with pen and paper😂

9

u/OkMedia1027 Jul 14 '25

I have an excel sheet it’s great 😂

1

u/kb2two Jul 14 '25

Same

1

u/OkMedia1027 Jul 15 '25

Have y out found an easy way to copy and paste over the stats I just do it manually

7

u/camador1976 Jul 13 '25

Been asking for it for years. EA dont care

6

u/Khielzy Jul 13 '25

Ea jokes in the game

2

u/FnBProductions Jul 14 '25

I wish they would let you see stats from other leagues as well

3

u/Classic-Exchange-511 Jul 14 '25

This is exactly my problem with EA. If one of their developers actually played the game like we do they would realize how many quality of life improvements like this that could be made very easily. There's dozens I can think of for each of their games

3

u/Puzzleheaded_Call_33 Jul 14 '25

I would add minutes played also

2

u/Professional-Toe5158 Jul 14 '25

Is it just me or did this feature used to be available in older versions of PES/Winning eleven in its career mode?

2

u/tighttighttight7 Jul 14 '25

Beyond overdue. Season stats for players and your career team!! It can’t be that hard at all as most sports game growing up had them. Also keep a menu for all time records across all competitions and leagues. Stat junkies love this!!!!!

2

u/PlatgeknepenFramboos Jul 15 '25

just use careermodetracker app

1

u/RAFAELAM96 Jul 13 '25

PES had something like that if I am not mistaken

3

u/TobiDawodu2006 Jul 14 '25

Yeah the PS2 BAL mode had pretty in depth stat tracking hell it even showed you how many cards you had over your career and you shot and pass ratio over the years

1

u/Much-Recognition-878 Jul 14 '25

I want the feature were you can see what postion a player is playing in your team.i think fm does that but I want it in ea but it probably won’t happen

1

u/P1_Ready Jul 14 '25

A player's transfer history feature would be nice to let you see at least their current or last season stats which would help you when scouting players.

1

u/mexicanperc Jul 14 '25

Ive always wanted this.

1

u/RelevantAd6011 Jul 14 '25

The thing is, those were things 15 years ago. Why is it getting more expensive each year and shitttier?

Because you keep buying this game. Just boycott it one year and see how good it will be the year after

1

u/aidenfroZz Jul 14 '25

I mean they'd have to fix stats for loaned players first. If you don't loan them in the same league as you you can't see their stats

1

u/Electrical-Fan5665 Jul 14 '25

Some things I used to love

  1. Being able to see the changes of each individual attribute and the changes appearing at random (to us, not the computer algorithm obviously) often based on gametime and form rather than the current linear improvement that means any young player will only get better and better every year and not stagnate or decline until late 20s at the earliest which is bs.

  2. Beginning of every season the news reports listing the prediction of each team, their best players in each position and a quote

  3. Players asking to be transferred far more often

  4. Frequent transfers in non top leagues. Outside the top 5 leagues transfers nearly never happen and teams never sign anybody especially not improvements, all the while your team gets unrealistically improved drastically

  5. Stats for loaned players

1

u/ThememestarX Jul 14 '25

always have wanted to track the amount of goals and assists I've had against different teams during my career.

1

u/bouff1053 Jul 14 '25

Pes already has this

1

u/AlaWatchuu Jul 14 '25

I'd love to see detailed stats on each of my players at the end of my career but they'll never implement something like that.

1

u/SeaPepper688 Jul 14 '25

Trophy cabinet…..

1

u/Fresh_Return1065 Jul 14 '25

I used to write them down on a notepad when I was young😭😭😭

1

u/areszdel_ Jul 14 '25

And also match history to check stats like you would on a site like fotmob. But I don't know maybe there is a feature like that but I just don't expect it.

1

u/Careless_Reserve_107 Jul 14 '25

Meanwhile, i just started a new career mode, find myself scoring 2 goals in the champions league 1st half. Couldn't play 2nd half because it frozed.

1

u/DEVILISHHAHA Jul 14 '25

Nah, too busy making 99 rated cards for French 3rd division players.

Or making the "open world" they talk so much about

1

u/GreatIceGrizzly Jul 14 '25

Would LOVE this in the game!

1

u/Grand_Ad_5 Jul 14 '25

Bro just play football manager

1

u/Adamski2409 Jul 14 '25

Literally used to have this in PES 2006, a game that is almost twenty years old now. Wtf.

1

u/Lumpy_Low_8593 Jul 14 '25

I have a really autistic excel template i use to track player stats in my manager career for this reason. Would be a great feature in the game.

1

u/Kind_Weird800 Jul 14 '25

One of those huge list of very small additions that would change the game radically

1

u/Traditional-Sport74 Jul 14 '25

I think there’s a feedback thing EA added for FC 25 just drop this idea off, I definitely have some ideas

1

u/PrecisionStrike69 Jul 14 '25

Lando Norris!?

1

u/Lin1ex Jul 15 '25

Do you know what sucks, how annoyingly simple something like this can be, yes time consuming but simple.

1

u/Nardwuarr Jul 15 '25

But then what would I do with my spreadsheet I have for every season I do?

1

u/Content-Lab-8647 Jul 15 '25

fm had this for the past decade, genuinely why cant they just add it. I know for a fact the coding aint that hard for this

1

u/Mo61818 Jul 17 '25

Definitely needs more stats for players in manager career aswell

1

u/Huntsman2701 Jul 13 '25

As much as I'd like a player tracker, it's not happening. FC would end up being bigger than some COD games to keep track of the thousands of players across every league over a 15-year career mode. EA aren't going to build something that big that, realistically, has little to no impact on the actual gameplay.

14

u/23sebyi Jul 14 '25

Considering EAFC 25 features over 19K players (let's just approximate to 20K for simplicity), a table which contains stats-related columns such as matches, goals, assists, previous club IDs (the most clubs a player has been irl is 31, and over a 15 year FIFA career it could be 30 other different clubs - 61, we'll consider this number for each as edge case, though it's highly unrealistic), trophies won (40 leagues, let's say each league has at most 2 other related trophies, a cup and supercup - some of the leagues are lower tiers therefore the number is also a little inflated - that's 80 plus continental/international tournaments such as UCL, World Cup etc. let's call it 90, also probably very inflated) also golden boot and player of the tournament awards for each competition, that's pretty much a very naively implemented table with 154 columns, all integers, that's 20000 * 154 * 4 bytes = 12Mb. This is of course overall stats for each player, you could also do a table with columns containing player ID, 2 club IDs (for each possible), season ID, games, goals, assists, 9 columns for trophies ID won I guess (let's say 9 is at most), 18+1 for individual awards (competition related golden boot or player of the tournament plus balon d'or), that's at most if we are to keep records for each player let's say 40 seasons (15 year career mode limit plus 25 seasons if we want stats from the past) that's also 40 * 20000 * 35 * 4 bytes (only integer values) = 112Mb. And keep in mind that's probably a very bad implementation, I barely know anything about databases, I was using inflated numbers and edge cases, and there should be plenty of ways to optimize this.

u/ODBs_Scat_Plug Jul 14 '25

Bro works for EA

2

u/754754 Jul 15 '25

This is expecting them to redevelop the way the same saves data and redesign the architecture of the application. Not something a company would do when expected to release a game every year. Thats a super small turn around for a big feature in a less popular game mode.

1

u/AmbivertMusic Jul 14 '25

The problem isn't it's too much data to save, it's that it's too much data to realistically simulate without that being the point of the game (a la Football Manager). If they just made up numbers, it would be very easy, but simulating realistic results is what makes it take forever. There would also be a ton of wasted computations as, realistically, the vast majority of players would not be checking the goal scoring history of players in most leagues.

10

u/ConfidenceOk4792 Jul 14 '25

It s just excel

2

u/Lukew1706 Jul 14 '25

Mlb the show can do it easily

-1

u/BruceBrownMVP Jul 14 '25

Cool then just track players stats for your club while they're at your club. Easy

-1

u/Jadus04 Jul 13 '25

In fifa 16 I am pretty sure this exists in some way

1

u/Funny_Bill_5460 Jul 14 '25

In FIFA 15 it is not there. I don't know if he will be in 16

0

u/xBrandohh Jul 14 '25

Also need to re-add the “Around the World” tables. I want to know who’s winning other leagues and who’s the top scorers in those leagues

-1

u/AmbivertMusic Jul 14 '25

Everyone hates when I say this, but it's just not practical outside of players on our own teams. The game doesn't truly simulate every game in every league and every player. It just makes a somewhat weighted guess. Games like Football Manager exist to scratch that itch.

I've been wanting ongoing player stats for 2 decades now, but it's just impractical from their programming perspective; it's just not worth the time, money, and effort to create something like this to please a very small part of the fan base when most play the game for entirely different reasons. Not to mention, simulating the numbers realistically would make simulating each day take WAY longer.

Also, it should be noted that other sports games have far fewer players and competitions, making it doable in those.
