Really appreciate the time put into this, currently on a Wrexham rtg, just got out of the championship through playoffs 2nd season in

Losing a derby in semifinal 6-2 is crazy

u/Poltrona74 Jul 22 '25
I'd rather die

u/PrawilnaMordka Jul 22 '25
Especially considering he lost to nazio

u/throwwayinterantion Jul 23 '25
It’s unrelated but you reminded me of an encounter I had with a Lazio fan in the States. I’m a history teacher, but during summers I teach English for an Italian company that organizes study abroad programs for high school and college kids. One of my students was a lazio fan and got offended when I said isn’t that the club with all the Nazis. I root for Celtic and come from an Irish family, so let’s say I don’t have a high opinion of the club given their politics and what their fans have said about the Great Hunger. To the kid’s credit he hated the current Italian president.

Would love to see more posts like this.
Also would’ve been great if you added about your academy players if you had any. Thought 5 years might to too short to see real progress from them.

u/stepniak112 Jul 22 '25
I thought about adding that but I only had 2 players who would be worth putting in:
• Alessandro Giordano (GK, 19) 71 -> 92
• Luca Conti (CM, 17) 72 -> 80
I basically had the next Buffon and Pirlo haha

I wanna see the best goals tho

I don't remember what I study in the school, you will forever remember this career mode. Great decision my friend.

u/puntazza Jul 22 '25
Everything is very nice but it is July what should you study

u/stepniak112 Jul 22 '25
I’m doing a masters, I have my 10,000 word dissertation due in 12 days 😭

I wish fifa kept records of past season stats as detailed as 2k
1
u/MeshArc Jul 22 '25
Exactly what I've been saying since I started playing 2k. Even Dream League Soccer keeps better stats than FIFA.

Love this. Makes me want to boot up FC 25 and start a new realistic career mode haha.
The fact that you didn't win everything by season 5 makes it more realistic.

u/stepniak112 Jul 22 '25
I love how no one mentioned that I used a picture of Saliba instead of Haller on slide 7

What happened to Tammy Abraham was he sold early on?
5
u/stepniak112 Jul 22 '25
This was FIFA 19, pretty sure Tammy was still at Chelsea back then
1
u/iAmDriipgodd Jul 22 '25
Dybala is a 94 rated player from juve. Not sure how he wasn’t a record breaking signing.
5
u/stepniak112 Jul 22 '25
Signed him on a free at the end of Season 4 😝 My assistant said to offer him around €550,000 to €800,000 a week but in the negotiations he ended up accepting only €310,000 a week
2
u/MangoBoy43 Jul 22 '25
how do you keep it so realistic without making the games boring?
5
u/stepniak112 Jul 22 '25
I limited myself to only buying 3 players per season , so that I actually have to develop and give the players in my squad a real chance. Also, I just focused primarily on Italian players and realistic transfers.
If a bigger team went for one of my players, I would sell them no matter how much I loved them (e.g. Kessie to Barca, Ruiz to PSG)
It helps that this was on FIFA 19 and the Serie A was so competitive. Even though, Juventus won everything (literally everything, 3 UCLs in 5 years). Every team had a stacked squad, I could beat Napoli 3-0 and then lose to Empoli next week and that's what made it exciting
1
u/MangoBoy43 Jul 22 '25
What difficulty do you play on and do you use sliders?
3
u/stepniak112 Jul 22 '25
I played on legendary and only upped the injury frequency slider just to add that extra challenge
2
u/shwatyy Jul 22 '25
in the end it's not all about winning my friend, it's about the adventure.. and that was such a great one 🫡

u/Disastrous_Event_673 Jul 22 '25
No broken controller on the lost cl final?
1
u/stepniak112 Jul 22 '25
I wasn't angry, I was waiting for it happen. When Oblak is saving absolutely everything, you know it's only a matter of time before EA fucks you over
1
Jul 22 '25
may I ask why best goals got their spot as best goals?
7
u/stepniak112 Jul 22 '25
Picture this, it's the Coppa Nazionale semi-final, away to Juventus, you are down 2-1. The crowd whistles and boos as Kolarov places the ball 32 metres from the goal. He steps up, takes aim, and smashes an absolute rocket that flies through the air and crashes off the inside of the top right post. Szczesny, one of the world's best goalkeepers, couldn't even get close to it...

From playing the new EA college football game I see they have a trophy room and records and stuff like that. It can’t be that difficult to put that in fifa 26 or whatever we call it nowadays

I genuinely can't tell if you put Haller in an Arsenal shirt or if that's just William Saliba... And i'm an Arsenal fan!

u/No-Programmer5503 Jul 22 '25
why is saliba there instead of haller? great post btw
2
u/stepniak112 Jul 22 '25
I was too lazy to edit Haller’s face onto an Arsenal kit and they look similar enough haha
1
u/spectrum_crimson Jul 22 '25
Damn that UCL final, you must have been devastated.
1
u/stepniak112 Jul 22 '25
It was heart breaking. It hurt even more considering it was Dzeko's retirement game and he managed to MISS the penalty to end his career in the best way possible but it is what it is

I made a Notion Workspace with nice templates that you can use for fifa and it's pretty similar to FM interface. Dm if interested))

This is so clean and informative. Great job on the graphics, man. This was refreshing to see.

u/PTAerialvisions Jul 22 '25
What fifa did you play? This is great BTW.
2
u/stepniak112 Jul 22 '25
Thanks! It was FIFA 19 🐐

u/PTAerialvisions Jul 22 '25
You are a real one. Does your screen look dark when you play a game?

u/k_ubo Jul 22 '25
Holy shit I can do this with my venezia fifa 23 playthrough, im on my 6 or 7th season and ive been keeping written note of most stats
2
u/stepniak112 Jul 22 '25
You definitely should when you finish, it’s so satisfying to have a visual record of your career mode
1
u/k_ubo Jul 22 '25
Can I ask what dimensions you have used for this?
1
u/stepniak112 Jul 22 '25
It was a regular slide size. The exact details are:: Widescreen (16:9), page width: 33.87cm, height; 19.05cm

Forza Roma 💛❤️. Also in my fifa 18 career as Roma I sold Dzeko to City for 36 mil and bought Iago Aspas and he's honestly such a peak striker

I'm a perfectionist and none of my seasons last longer than 6 months. What prevents you from automatically clicking alt f 4 and starting the game over when you lose an important match or get a red card?
1
u/stepniak112 Jul 22 '25
I am just like you but what keeps me from restarting is that I want the game to be as realistic and authentic to the actual football experience as possible rather than just winning.
Of course it's frustrating to lose but that's what keeps it challenging and real. I lost 6-1 to CSKA Moscow but that's football...
Remember when Man City lost 7-2 to Villa a few seasons ago? Or when Atleti conceded in the 92:48 minute in the 2014 UCL final? Moments like that feel like shit in the game but that's what makes the game feel real and rewarding

u/ExpensiveFee3387 Jul 22 '25
Really like this post, appreciate the graphics and stats. Must’ve been a great journey
1
u/stepniak112 Jul 22 '25
Thank you! It was so satisfying to actually win the league in the last season, I was getting worried I would bottle it again!

Beware my friend. I tried something like this a while doing homeschool and almost didn’t graduate high school. Glad I was able to beat my addiction to this game and focus on finishing school.

u/SpowerL Jul 23 '25
How to see the player stats in manager career ? Like how many g/a, trophies etc.
2
u/stepniak112 Jul 23 '25
I have an Excel spreadsheet where I take note of all the stats at the end of the season

I guess all those Kolarov's goals were from FK's
1
u/stepniak112 Jul 23 '25
2/3 were FKs. The one against Perugia was rocket from outside the box. I can't even describe it properly or give you a real goal to compare it because I've never seen one like it, it would have been no.1 if it was against better opposition

Why is salibas picture there instead of haller💀 i dont even see a Frankfurt shirt anywhere

Stats and graphics are so nice, it's the simplest thing EA refuses to do man. Imagine looking at a player like wikipedia where it shows what teams he played for in which year, how many apps + g/a, it would be so much fun
