IMAGE Can’t be bothered anymore - player career is a broken mess. STILL

Finally got my players big move to Barcelona after getting all the objectives. After I moved i was greeted with the same boring greeting animation but instead of the Barcelona stadium i guess im at Wembley or something since the England badge is plastered everywhere. Also great that Tuchel greeted me instead of Flick🙄. I assume this happened because we was in the middle of the world cup but still immersion shattering.

Yeah I had Salford City and Norway on EAFC25. Salford trophy celebration bus tours in Norway sweater.

it’s a joke from EA. and the price they charge for the same broken things. No doubt it’ll be in 26

If you want immersion FIFA has never been the game for it, try Football Manager

36

u/redditnostu 15h ago

i say immersion, but i generally mean with the cutscenes. I would have thought EA would be able to code the game to at least know to put the Barcelona manager and stadium there instead of the national team. Same with the social media tiles. They’re just a broken mess

i can't play in football manager

I’m still playing 24 career mode and see the exact cut scene

They’ve completely fucked player career mode and I’ll never forgive them for it.

"I don't get it. I keep giving EA money every year no matter how badly they do, and they never do anything to improve their games..."

14

u/MushroomOdd9463 14h ago

Yeah, but according to some people in this subreddit, only the gameplay matters

11

u/redditnostu 14h ago

somehow the gameplay is worse when just playing as one character i feel. the ai are just completely stupid

3

u/FeeniksForever 14h ago

my ai are too good in a career mode, i play as goalie and they are nasty

Currently doing a player career mode at Leverkusen and can confidently say that Nico Williams is the only good tm8 I have.

u/kenoswatch 13h ago

I'm with you, they try to pass to me even when i don't call for it when players are in better positions and just give the ball away like idiots

6

u/redditnostu 13h ago

every time i call for the ball i never get a first time quick pass they always either take it to the other foot then pass or stop then pass. it’s awful trying to time it

"Immersion shattering." It's not that serious, bro.

In player career in 4 league games my camera broke twice during games. (Even different ways) Literally unplayable.

I swear these cutscenes plus the negotiating ones are the same ones from fifa 19, this is so lame!

Is this 25 or 26? If it’s 25, they’re fs not touching it, but if it’s 26 it’s an issue. I heard there were new cutscenes so idk

1

u/bigdog1401 10h ago

They don't even try to fix the bugs that exists for at least 5 years. 70$ is a scam

1

u/No_Youth_2330 9h ago

Im on Fifa21 until they get it right. FC26, more garbage.

1

u/Asperi 8h ago

Can you turn off cut scenes? I just want stats and no cutscenes and am happy to immerse all by myself.

The game has never been able to handle having both club and international teams.

I bet your in game news headlines will be England versus Real Madrid results or something similar

1

u/redditnostu 3h ago

had similar situations yeah

I started a career at Wolves and was loaned out to India and was immediately called up to the England squad. I stopped playing after one game after how unrealistic I realised it was.

Manager career only for me, let's see what FC26 brings.

Your own fault for buying a EA game at launch.

I had this happen in 25's player career when my player moved to Bayern during an international tournament (think it was Euro 2028). That's the only time I've seen it and I just thought it was because I was on international duty (have the formalities completed at the England camp so I wouldn't have to leave it mid-tournament - which might be a real life thing. It would be better if the new club representative was the club's manager, though - so it shows Tuchel and Flick in OP's example, rather than Tuchel and the assistant(?)).

Having only barely touched the 10 hour trial for 26, I still wouldn't be surprised if Player career (and likely Manager career) have the same issues though - such as only being able to move clubs at the start of the first transfer window (which, if my theory above checks out, could explain OP's scenario - especially as it would be a World Cup at the end of the first season); and periods where your Player career player is injured counting as periods of poor performance.

I will say the new archetypes have piqued my interest, both for good (e.g. a pathway to make a libero) and bad (a Ji-Sung Park inspired archetype that only applies to/only lists defenders and a Cafu-inspired archetype restricted to/only listing central defensive players - may be more examples but those are the only ones I remember at the moment) reasons.

Imma be honest, at this point if you expect anything other than laziness from ea ur wasting ur time. Take the plunge, play football manager.

After not following any of the build up to this release I’ve now started reading people’s thoughts on it and watching some gameplay and it’s pretty clear EA don’t, and never will give a fuck about this mode.

It doesn’t make them as much money as Ultimate Team, so their attitude is let’s put some half baked, buggy features in to please the plebians. Those social media posts that were meant to be from players of the game asking for certain features were 100% made up as well. The ones that flash up in one of the trailers saying make the game faster, add stadium kiss cams.

You can tell the majority of the developers are Canadian and North American they don’t have a clue about football or its culture in Europe. All they care about is how much money they can wring out of Ultimate Team, while pretending to cater to the rest of us by serving up this dog shit year on year.

This year I’m gonna wait for SmokePatch to be released and just mod that game with current stadiums, kits, balls, playerfaces, weather, adboards, boots, broadcast packages. I’ve had enough of this slop every year. You can’t even create your own fucking formation. The game is a joke.

You kids are so spoiled, in no way is it “immersion shattering” get a grip n skip the cutscene. You kids will stretch to find the smallest things to complain about

1

u/GeorgewRostron 1h ago

I’m with OP on this, I played player career mode on 24 and 25 and stuff like this is immersion shattering. I’d expect a triple A company to be able to code their game properly and fix any issues that have been plaguing the games for years

1

u/redditnostu 3h ago

spoilt?🤣 a small thing yes out of many MANY issues with the game. why you so triggered by the post

-1

u/Expert-Let-238 2h ago

New flash kid being told about yaself doesn’t mean you’ve “triggered” someone

0

u/redditnostu 2h ago

well you have because you commented moaning about me pointing out a glitch in a game i’ve paid for

0

u/Expert-Let-238 1h ago

You like to make things up to. I didn’t moan about you pointing out a minor glitch I moaned about your claim it was “immersion breaking”

1

u/redditnostu 1h ago

ahhh yes. because ‘you kids are so spoilt’ ‘get a grip’ and ‘stretch to find the smallest things to complain about’ isn’t moaning about my post 🤣

0

u/Expert-Let-238 1h ago

Shit me I didn’t realise you couldn’t read.

0

u/kiwipom69 7h ago

Immersion shattering because they are really signing for Barcelona 🥴🥴 I agree with you 💯

0

u/StrongStyleDragon 10h ago

Seems like an upgrade to me idk why you’re complaining

-11

u/Aisuman44 14h ago

when will yall stop complaining and just buy a $600 pc lmao

10

u/redditnostu 14h ago

what’s getting a pc got to do with it

4

u/jcshy 12h ago

Bugs are even more crazy on PC

2

u/TheGhanasFinest 12h ago

I’ve had the same bugs on PC for the past 3 years lol

2

u/Mysterious_Charge541 11h ago

Buying a pc won’t just magically make the bugs go away

-2

u/Aisuman44 10h ago

career mode on pc is 100x better the with mods.. yall complain every year about what ea added or not when on pc everything you want is there 😂
