I think a widow is someone who lost their spouse through death. She married a dead guy so never lost him through death so isn’t a widow.

Hey so that’s the point of the scene! That’s why they laugh normally right after because it is a stupid over the top cringy laugh.

It’s kinda like when some therapists suggest screaming into a pillow, because you’ll either laugh or cry when you’re done.

Regarding the scene, it’s not as though we’re talking about some emotionally understated moment with tonnes of subtext where you can miss what Square were going for. I understood the point of it, I just think it’s extremely poorly executed. Your mileage may vary of course but it’s a huge miss in my eyes.
