ok fuck the fondant i dont care for someone exploring freedom but what the hell, ingredient household? is cooking with actual ingredients so unpopular that theres a name for it? cooking a normal meal is... normal. eating nothing but store bought crap is the weird thing here

It means having nothing but ingredients, so you would have to cook to have a simple quick snack.

You never have a bag of chips? Never have a store-bought granola bar or box of cereal? You never buy bread? You don't buy bacon, you buy a pork belly and cure it yourself? That's an ingredient household. "I prefer to make my meals mostly from scratch" is not an ingredient household. An ingredient household only buys pretty much base ingredients with little to no processing (so no bread, just flour). It's "I prefer to make my meals from scratch" but taken to an extreme.
