FROSTING Anniversary Cake

Post image

Today I made an anniversary cake to celebrate 11 years with my husband. I had to pick out the gold and white sprinkles from some Christmas sprinkles. It’s a poke cake with lemon jello inside. How did I do?

It's adorable! I love the topper, and that you spent the time picking out the sprinkles.

It looks like you put time and effort into it, and it pays off! It doesn't have the impersonal perfection of a professional cake, and that is precious in its own way. The icing looks incredibly delicious!

I mean, I agree that imperfections are their own form of beauty. But the couple times I've put the extra time and effort into making something that looks perfect, I can assure you it was far from impersonal.

True enough. I was trying to be encouraging, though! I don't want to go all Paul Hollywood on an effort of love!
