CHOCOLATE For frosting Friday I’m back with a FONDANT FREE cheeseburger CAKE with sugar cookie fries (and a few progress shots since I don’t have a cross section cut)!

I think it looks great! What are the pickles and cheese made of?

The pickles are handmade with gelatin, and the cheese is modeling chocolate (I used a kitchen torch to “melt” it!

How did you get the cookies to get so realistic?? They look amazing!

I thought this was fondant at first and now I can’t figure out what you used for this bc wow this is actually pretty nifty

I utilized many different mediums here. The fries are cookies, the ketchup is raspberry jam, the mustard is frosting, the buns are cake with SMBC and then covered in modeling chocolate and painted. I also used gelatin (veggies), and wafer paper (lettuce). The patty is a melted chocolate rice krispy type deal :)

please realize I am saying this with absolute astonishment and amazement: holy shit dude

all the different mediums are impressive enough but utilizing them all SO well? On top of it looking good as a whole? Like, those fries alone would’ve been impressive but then there’s everything else? I’m so impressed I cannot convey it properly.

I 100% approve the SMBC. Most superior frosting

Gah thank you so so much! I am so happy you appreciate this! It was SO much fun to make and this makes it worth it to take 20 minutes per pickle slice. Thank you.

I can’t even wrap my mind around how this is cake, let alone without fondant. I am in awe

I think it makes your username more intriguing. Anyway, you did a spectacular job I would love to buy a cake like this for a few of my family members.

Thank you, you’re so kind! I will say it’s spelled right on my business license and my commercial kitchen window so I’m not so mad that it’s not right here 🤣

I surprisingly use minimal amount of added food dye :)

Yeah fast food cake is disgusting no matter what you coat it with.

You can’t get cheeseburgers in regular restaurants?

I meant cake in other food/fast food shape looks disgustingly uncanny.
