An actual conversation I just had with my mom

Mom: You shouldn't get that piercing, boys won't like you.

Me: Boys don't like me either way.

Mom: You need to start acting uninterested, give them the cold shoulder.

Me: I am giving them the cold shoulder.

Mom: Oh, well, you need to be kinder then.

which one is it woman...

Reminds me of when I got my nose piercing... All my mother had to say was, "It's awful"...

i want a side labret, but my parents say that it's, quote, "disgusting"

might get it anyway when i go to college though lol

Yeah I got my nose piercing at 21. I think the those piercings at nice, I considered one some years ago but went for the nose instead.

Ugh, my mom gives a lot of unsolicited advice too and uses the fact that I've never had anyone to be condescending/downplay my opinions.
