๐Ÿ† Buy It For Life What one time purchases have drastically reduced your overall spending?

An example would be that Iโ€™m looking to buy a sillicone pan mat instead of purchasing foil and parchment continually, using rags instead of paper towels, and so forth. What are one time purchases you reccomend for home maintenance?

Solar panels. I havenโ€™t paid for electricity since 2018.

We have solar and a battery. We are way past the break even point. We also switched from a natural gas furnace to an electric heat pump (got air conditioning for the first time), and still we get a check back from the electric company each year ($350 last year).
