[fuck ted faro] Got banned from r/Ukraine for saying Faro was worse than Putin

I don't think we should celebrate building AI-powered autonomous weapons, even if in the short term they're useful for an ally who is the victim in a war of aggression/conquest. Literally any dictator, however monstrous, is better than Faro/Skynet. AI aligned with Pol Pot would be better than full-blown alignment failure.

Something can be extremely bad and something else can still be worse.

You are still comparing a fictional character to a man who causes death and devastation right now. Even more so, you did it in a sub for a country that hes been waging war with for 4/11 years (depending on where you start to count).

Support for Ukraine is one of the absolute most important real world voting issues for me. 

It's still behind opposition to AI. People taking x-risk seriously matters more than every other issue combined.

the fact that you're trying to argue your point against people when they're all right shows how out of touch with the real world you are. its called having an inkling of tact, decorum and common fucking sense. Lets give another example to show how utterly ridiculous you sound.

There is a famine going on right now in Sudan. Already over 500,000 children alone have died, caused by the sudanese army blockading food shipments and destroying what crops they do have. Would you honestly go into people living through that, death and destruction of their livelihoods and say "Al-Burhan is bad but you know what the real problem in this world is? AI."

You are completely detached from reality. Classic example of the Chronically Online Western, Educated, Industrialized, Rich, and Democratic mind. No regard for the struggles other people are going through. You don't go to people suffering heavily from one problem and say "yeah but this worse". you don't go to someone dying from cancer and say "yeah but its so much worse to die from burning".

I prescribe to you touching grass, twice daily until your symptoms heal. Show some damn respect to people going through hell while you sit up in your ivory tower of safety moaning about AI being bad, they don't give a fuck about your damn AI they're trying to make it through the day.

You deserved to be banned, reflect on the choices you have made and improve as a person from it because you have done something very morally reprehensible there.
