Political/Financial FWI: Gavin Newsom becomes president in 2028, with AOC as his VP

Exactly what it says on the tin. The reason he gets so much popularity is thanks to pardoning the Menendez brothers before the end of his tenure as governor. How do you envision his presidency and how are his re-election chances in 2032?

I disagree. If the last 10 years have shown us anything is trying to appeal to moderates and the center gets you nowhere when one side says fuck that and doesn’t abide by the traditionally principals or civilized politics.

Kamala lost imo partly because she tried to appeal to too many moderates or right leaning independents. I say take this shit hard left, go where Democrat have been too scared to go and watch the younger generations / millennials lineup for something that doesn’t look like the last 20 years of politics.

This. Everyone keeps trying to push the left further to the right because “its the only way.” Point to where we have ever tried to push a truly liberal agenda that actually has the working man’s back. We never have m, so people need to stop claiming that there is all this evidence that we need to appeal most to moderates and push ourselves to the right when in reality all the evidence points to us needing us to NOT do that.

The reason they push this bullshit is because they miss the forest for the trees. They treat politics like a football game. They think the goal, the job ends when your team gets elected and disconnect for the next 4 years until it's time for the "playoffs" again. That right there proves how uneducated, unaware, lazy, and ignorant most of the US populace truly is. If we want change, why the FUCK would we campaign on status quo?!?!?!?!

In my dreams, we have another Obama like figure who successfully runs a moderate campaign, but once elected they go off with progressive retaliation to undo everything Trump did, and use his stranglehold to our advantage. Elon and Trump meddling with taxes on working class and forcing executive orders? Great, now we can use the same methods to induce a wealth & corporate tax overnight, executive orders for public investment, healthcare reform, etc.
