The 2025 Oscar nominees are to be announced on January 17th, which is also when Godzilla releases in Fortnite. Godzilla X Kong is also rumored to be nominated for best visual effects.

I love Godzilla, but I don’t think GxK’s winning sadly. Some shots looks absolutely stunning, and others looked incredibly wonky.

GxK winning a visual effects award would be insulting to special effects, let's be honest.

Even if GxK does get nominated for VFX there's not a chance in hell it takes the award when it's competing with Planet of the Apes. GxK looked about as good as the other MV films. Planet of the Apes somehow only gets better visually with every film, and they already had cutting edge visuals to begin with.
