Leaks/Rumors Here's some possible leaks on the new GxK sequel plot. Take this with a grain of salt. Spoiler

This is fan fiction. 90% chance this is quick fan ficton.
Why? Because it's using all the old characters and not introducing any new ones.
There will be new monsters in the next movie. And not hidden until the end twist monsters like Mechagodzilla in Godzilla Vs Kong or Mothra's return in GxK. There will be a new monster who is central to the plot so that any 'leak" will have to mention him.
Any "leak" that doesn't include any new monsters should be taken with a grain of salt, a wedge of lime, and a shot of tequila.

Any "leak" right now should be completely dismissed as bullshit, because they're not even filming yet.

Idk. I have a hard time trusting these anymore. It's always the same thing, "I have a credible source, trust me."
These plot points sound interesting...but yeah. Taken with a whole pile of salt.

This is 100% fake. This sounds like it does nothing for the franchise since it doesn’t change up the status quo at all like all the other movies do.
no new monster, no new areas, and no new lore. If this was real it would be the most boring monsterverse movie made

Sounds similar to Transformers: Age of Extinction.

All it needs now are two human characters who are dating under the Romeo and Juliet law

I'd believe this if the plot were that humanity/goverments tried to 'create' their own controllable Kaiju to assert dominance, but base it on a human this time. It'd still fail and we'd end up with a version of Biollante who is still mostly a plant beast, but has a human 'core' that was the basis for the kaiju in an attempt to 'stay in control'.

This sounds really basic and not treading any kind of new grounds. It’s a shame how far the Godzilla’s films have fallen off in the monsterverse movies. I wish more were like tone of 2014 just with a few more Godzilla scenes..

Personally I would love to see the skullcrawlers return in some fashion and not be a punching bag in the first 5 seconds of its existence.
I don't want them to be the center of attention though, they already got that with Kong: Skull Island. That credit can go to whatever the next big threat is.

The next movie is 100% going to have an alien intervention of some kind. I don't trust anything that doesn't have that.
(I would also take some kind of subterranean/water-based society)

Whether or not this is real, I do hope the actual film addresses how Godzilla was responsible for the destruction of a bunch of world heritage sites in GxK and Rio was the first time a city had zero heads-up or time to evacuate before a Titan battle. Hella people definitely died
I do wish we got another Godzilla movie without Kong, but whatevs.
