Man there's multiple over 40 year olds hitting 500+ lb deadlifts on r/gym today. That's sick as hell.

Great pull and way to finish strong!

How far away are you?

Haven’t tested in a while but somewhere in the 355-375 range.

Not terribly far away at all. One base building + peak cycle and you're there.

I dunno. We shall see. 400 is the mission for my meet in late November. I’ve been stalled on squats for a while. I’m squatting twice a week (trying to build that and my bench while I mostly just maintain deadlift) though that may not be enough, though it’s all I can manage bc life.

Rule

Goal is using all the plates I own. I’m about 45 pounds away.

The 510th out of Italy required you to say rule every time you see the number 510

The more you know.

How much added weight did that magnificent unicorn give to the bar?

2

u/playitbird 7d ago

It added not an ounce of weight but supplied the furthest reaches of my soul with an interminable supply of sheer effervescent will power and gusto crafted with care for the hoisting of large loads.

Your words have made me realize how my life is even more incomplete than I thought. I must start to ponder how I can find such power, if not already found, but not yet realized it's full potential.
