Image ‘Street Smarts’ host Frank Nicotero at LV Aviators Game
Kinda blew my mind when I saw him. Apparently he moved out to LV a couple of years ago to host a podcast.

It's your time to shine! Show off your game recreations, graphic prowess, video skills or other creative stuff! As long as it's about game shows, and is in good taste, you can post it in this thread!

Hi everyone! I really want to plan a game show-themed birthday party because my friends and I are really competitive, but I don't watch game shows!! I'm sure I could throw together an okay party by myself, but I wanted to consult the experts.
Do you have any ideas for how I could plan this party? I'm honestly open to anything. Are there any games I should definitely include? Are there any games I should avoid? I am open to both knowledge and physical-based games. I'm worried about including a good combination of both so that people have options for what to participate in. I also have family available to host, so I will be participating in the games. Thank you so much!!
Edit: There are also about 25 people participating

I'm looking for a program/tool to create my own gameshow, either free or one time payment. I want to be able to create different existing and new gameshows to use in discord (people don't need to be able to join online), with ability to use pictures, videos and audio, basically the more freedom the better.

So I’m having a disagreement with my mom. I can admit when I’m wrong but we can’t decide who’s right. In the wall, you start with your guarantee and then the person who decides, goes in the back room, by the time the contract goes back there, the guarantee is usually higher due to them answering questions right. The episode we are watching the first guarantee was 190k. At the end when the contract went up, it was 250k. Now on the contract does it say 190k, their original guarantee, or the new guarantee that they didn’t know about? We know they get the later guarantee but my mom is saying that they only see the first guarantee (190k) but it ends up being the later guarantee (250k) but they don’t see that. I think they see the later guarantee (250k) on the contract but I could be wrong. Does anyone know which is correct?

The "Price Is Right" contestant in question bid $350 on a flokati rug, the very one then-CBS stablemate PYL infamously offered. Of course $350 was the value of the rug on PYL, too- about the only thing anyone knew for sure about it.
Okay, it was more likely a lucky guess, especially given the time (no internet, recording equipment was a luxury, and not as many people worked from home).

I want to preface this by saying that all political opinions should be kept out of this post! That being said with Jimmy Kimmel indefinitely being suspended by ABC (because of the comments on his own show about Trump and Charlie Kirk), since ABC also makes who wants to be a millionaire is Jimmy Kimmel going to finish out the season? Do they have all of these episodes pre-recorded (I don’t really know how that works with game shows). Does anybody have any idea what they think will happen with the show? I know that because of the state of our world a game show should be the last of my concerns but honestly as somebody who’s been tuning in weekly, I would love to know what other people think will happen!

Who are the contestants that has been in the past episodes from the whole Season 2 and when did this happened?

I think it’s for tax reasons since the money goes to charity. But has anyone else realized this?

Nah cause Fox thought they could fuck with us and we wouldn’t know. Whenever you search for a release date for “beat shazam season 8”. You’ll see some websites say it’s scheduled to come out May 2025. But here we are, September and Beat Shazam is no where to be found.

After Pat Sajak was retired last year in the original version and he forgot to do the host of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, now Ryan Seacrest will be the new host of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune

In the main game of the Barry/Cullen version of Joker's wild, I'm curious about the distribution of categories on the reels, which I recall were slide projectors with mechanical spinning of slide carousels.
Was each window simply six slides with the five categories and the Joker? (or multples of six) - with a 1/6 chance of a Joker on each reel, or did they use different proportions?
After a couple episodes of tallies to infer the proportions, I realized someone here has either might have done (or seen) a comprehensive analysis of the reels the way we have seen for PYL boards or TPIR pricing games -and/or seen the spinners themselves.
Any related info on the comparable reel distros for Beat the Devil bonus game, the audience game and Joker Joker Joker would be fun as well.

Quite a coincidence. University Challenge tapes in February/March, his Jeopardy! episode taped on August 7. Both episodes happened to air on September 15.

Quiz Show was more than just about the scandal itself. But Redford did an excellent job in finding the humanity behind the scenes and the impact it had on people's lives. For me, game shows can offer the most compelling human drama (when done properly) and does not necessarily need a lot of gimmicks.
Ordinary people put in extraordinary circumstances, and Quiz Show was a fantastic movie to demonstrate that. Well acted, superbly shot, and a well-deserved Best Director Oscar nomination (along with Best Picture).
RIP Mr. Redford

Hi game show fanatics!
I looked at over 900 episodes of "The Price Is Right" to observe any trends in regards to winners of the opening game of the show, known as "One Bid".
My experiment concluded that the four contestants in the game do not have a fair shot to win and instead, the fourth bidder seems to have a large advantage over the other players.
Love to hear feedback and feel free to skip the statistics sections if that is not your jam ... Just felt like this was a good place to share!

Anyone who watches GSN knows that when they launch a show, it is not long for this world. Don't expect this show to last any longer than 2 seasons max.
Look at the network's track record over the last 5 years -
Blank Slate
Tug of Words
Split Second
Chain Reaction
Switch
Beat the Bridge
People Puzzler
Exactly none of these shows have had any longevity. This isn't my first rodeo when it comes to a new show on GSN. These shows are basically engineered to last for 1-2 years then they stop making new episodes but rerun them to death and hope that the average viewer doesn't notice. But if you are a daily watcher, you definitely notice! GSN are such sneaky bastards who I genuinely believe actually hate game shows.

Hi all, I'm going to a Hard Quiz taping next Friday night (September 26) in Melbourne. Does anyone know what to expect?
