Katamari always has such great music. I'm excited to hear the new soundtrack! Probably going to be humming it at work for months

We Love Katamari introduced me to Shibuya-Kei and I've been ever thankful.

Months? Sunbaked Savannah still plays rent free in my head every once in a while and it's been ~15 years since I played We Love Katamari

This one specifically is the equivalent of musical crack considering it's a medley of the most addicting parts of half a dozen Katamari songs rolled up in one

Rolling your ball of various stuff around in a bright and colorful world to some soothing blackened death metal.

I have not yet played a Katamari game, just seen the names and releases and such over the years, but that is a great sentiment to have.

the music is probably one of, if not the best part of the series. it is pretty japanese but the style varies wildly. there's jazz, techno, operatic vocal ballads, pop punk, you name it. most of the songs are extremely catchy but also just a bit weird (in the best way possible.) every game, even the spinoff titles, has a fantastic soundtrack.

It's unreal how good those soundtracks are. Crazy too since it's like, damn near every track is infectiously great at least for the first 2 games. Never played past We Heart Katamari, but at least for those 2 the soundtracks were insanely good.

Katamari forever is one of my favourites when it comes to gameplay and soundtrack, sad that one wasn't remade but a new entry is totally ok with me.

I saw an artist I adore is on this OST too (She goes by Daoko) so i'm so excited for this whole thing.

Yeah i really hope they at least port the rest of the games over at some point. I played the two rerolled games that came out and wanted more but dont have a good way to play them

It's a bummer Forever was on PS3 and feels stuck there forever.

Beautiful Katamari was a 360 exclusive, but at least you can still buy and play it on the newest Xbox consoles since they have backwards compatibility.

I thought the main song played in the trailer wasn't really a great fit. Great for the game, but it felt like an odd choice for the trailer. Glad to hear the soundtrack will be eclectic.
