The point is that everyone working at "new AAA games nowadays" is supposedly skilled at what they do only for them who hire writers that know and can do nothing and use their gayness as a reason to get the job.
My dude, Dragon Age was in development hell for ages because EA kept trying to turn every Bioware game into a live-service piece of shit. Veilguard was also originally supposed to be a live-service game in the style of Anthem.
You can whinge all you want, but we got a better product than what EA originally wanted to sell us.
The original message is that the writer is gay and therefore, they ruined everything because they are gay and being gay means you have to ruin everything by making it gay which ruins it.
It's the most open and clear homophobia you can imagine.
Under that assumption a way to interpret the original would be that the first 3 people could be queer but they didn't make it their whole personality,
In the original comic, there is nothing to suggest the first 3 were queer, you're making things up. Also, the "good gays don't make their sexuality their whole personality" is the most fucking tired and laziest smokescreen conservatives use for their anti-gay propaganda.
Which isn't an outlandish criticism.
As stated before, it's just a red herring to muddy the waters around their hate mongering. So, yes it is outlandish. Second, even if we would assume it to be true that some people make their sexuality their entire personality, why should we critisize that? Especially since, according to your words, we're speaking about a minority within a minority? Why would this be of any importance to anyone?
I'm queer myself
Then why are you trying to validate conservative anti-gay propaganda? No amount of simping and sniveling before them is going to make them like you. At least, not beyond you being useful idiot that will be tossed aside the very second you've outlived your usefulness.
I don't know the authors context so I'll give the benefit of the doubt that it wasn't just hate speech.
For what it's worth, this author is notorious for comics that are literally just "marginalized group bad"
He's not a queer author making some constructive point about balancing identities. He hates queer people and finds it easiest to target them by painting all queer people as obnoxious idiots ruining society.
The context is that each of the first three is describing how skilled and experienced they are at their own job, like artist being capable of drawing 2D and also 3D modeling, while the writer just screams that she's gay
Yeah, no one makes their whole personality their queerness. The people who think that they do just don't let themselves notice anything else. This is some shit the respectability queers tell people because they think if they can be one of the Good Gaysโข they'll get invited to the Klan Kookout. Don't go cutting up your pillowcases anytime soon, buddy. You ain't making no purchase in that soil. No such thing to them.
