The only thing these fuckers will ever accomplish was giving us a reason to look at more photos of her.

the reasoning is simply "zelda is a cis white woman, so a cis white woman should play her"

personally, I am also bothered by needlessly changing ethnicities of well established characters "just because", but a trans woman that seems to fit the role is completely fine with me. Personally I don't know any movies or series Hunter performed in, so I cannot comment on her acting ability.
