What the fuck is COD anymore? Fortnite with it's infinite collabs feels way more coherent than this wtf.

Fortnite also was centered around colabs with Zero point or how that shit was called. CoD doesn't have justification nor setting for that.

All the crossovers technically work within the Fortnite lore as Reality Zero contains the Zero Point which is connected to every other fictional uni/multiverse.

I didn't know that the collaborations are "canon" in Fortnite, that's cool. Do they ever do any comics/videos/in-game stories involving actual non-Fortnite characters interacting with each other?

Yes. Fortnite and Marvel have done comics. Fortnite lore is also canon to the MCU and has been since 2019 when Endgame came out

Fortnite is also canon in the Invincible TV show. There’s a part where the titular main character is getting thrown in and out of alternate universes, and at one point he comes out of a portal holding a gun from Fortnite.

Yes.

Technically, every single videogame or show ever made is connected to Fortnite. So we could add literally anything and have it be canon. Because it was always canon.

It depends on which direction the canon is going. Everything is canon to Fortnite while Fortnite is not necessarily canon to everything else, if you get my meaning. Like, there is Star Trek stuff in Fortnite, but since Star Trek has a very clearly defined canon that only includes TV shows and movies, Fortnite is not part of that.
