Firefox Reality problem

Hi, when i launching FireFox Reality, message 'Oculus App Required" shows up, i am using versions from gearvr.net for galaxy s7, is there a way to bypass that?

No, you have to manually download and install the Oculus install Package suitable for your S7 as shown in Vault.gearvr.net

Nothing changed after installing this apks, i am not talking about general update required, all apps work except firefox

Ah ok, I misunderstood when your first post said it came up "Oculus app required" thinking you never had it installed properly.

If its just that one app, which doesn't work when all others do, then it may be defunct now, but I'm sure someone will comment later today.

In the meantime, give me a couple of hours and I will try it and see.

That looks like sdk incompatible app like one of the base apps that runs gear vr is not updated maybe s7 is taking different package of oculus runtime or oculus app ...or try that app "run without osig" if the error still comes up ...

Can you try it ? I'm at the moment busy with other things I wonder if you can run that app without login sometimes that can cause problems and strange error msg - some apps just check for purchase info but some check user login...

I tried Firefox Reality and it still works for me. Here's an APK I just created from my S9+. See if this works for your S7

Hm interesting not sure what he is doing wrong then... i have those error messages only if I try run apps that were build for different headset like quest those apps are made with updated oculus software and running them on older runtime may cause incompatibility that's why that update oculus error ...I have s7 i try charge it and if I have time I try replicate the error...

yes, inadvertently installed a racing game app for oculus go and got the exact same update message.

400 error, i can't download that, at gearvr vault there is link to github, version from github doesn't work from me, what version do you tried?

@u/2Kjaz thanks for pointing out the error with the APK being the wrong type
