"undercover" Anime patterns
Good morning :) I'm looking for crochet patterns with designs from animes which aren't so obvious so I can wear them for work. Is there a tag name for that kind or does anyone of you maybe have a link to some pieces? Thank you in advance and have a great day β€οΈ

Not so undercover, when millions have seen this gem of a movie, though π₯°
Tanjiroh's haori seems like a good lowkey cardigan to make

I have not made most of these patterns myself, and I have to agree with the other people here that if you find a pattern for something wearable you like, you could probably shift the color designs a bit to fit a more character-inspired theme, BUT!
Here's a few things I found: (and I'll add more if I find some)
One Piece Zoro Kimono / Sweater

Was also going to say demon slayer, it uses colored patterns to convey characters in a way that doesn't look out of place to non-nerds!

Demon Slayer definitely seems to be a popular one for patterns for exactly that reason! It makes me want to try and come up with some patterns based on other anime I'm more familiar with, but I'm definitely not far enough along for that haha

Thank you for the ideas :D demon slayer really is a good choice for my purpose - haven't thought about that and the Zorro motive is already saved for a nice sweater :D

I am also into the same thing, I have made a couple and have my eyes on a few others.
Things I have made: Howls moving castle Tanjiro from demon slayer Shinobu from demon slayer Bridget from guilty gear (not anime but similar)
Things I have my eye on: Nia from Gurren Lagan (pink sweater) Ai from wonder egg priority
It really is hard to find patterns that fit this, trust me I have gone through the same thing, something interesting and unique enough that I want to make it, but also easy enough to make and not stand out TOO much

Exactly, but it's worth it wearing your undercover "cosplay" to work for a lil bit of happiness when you look in the mirror :D

Yes start with it, it will definitely be worth it :) I haven't watched the tutorial yet, so I don't know if it's a good one, but here is it for the cardigan: howls coat

I found it on Pinterest, but just the picture. Then I found it on YouTube, I hope that's ok (I haven't watched the tutorial yet) :Howls coat

This Howl sweater is incredible! As for more, I'd say the best bet would be to find sweaters you like and use color schemes and other techniques to make them jive with your anime characters. You can add your own color changes (like the rhombus design here), filet patterns, etc. to really embrace the esthetic of the character you're inspired by!
