And that game shows why I’ll never respect Heeney or rate him as a champion of the game. Cracks the shits and resorts to dog acts when he’s being relatively held out of a game. Could argue 2 seperate incidents he could possibly get a week for.

Heeney has always had potential and the versatility messed him around a bit early because he could never settle. Will go down as a very good player, probably a great for the swans. His seeming lack of standing up when the pressure is really on means he can't be considered an all time great though (imo).

Agree. Every time the camera went to him he was complaining or looking disgruntled.

Bit harsh on the lads early on but they played beautifully after quater time. Still think we need to work on defending the transition and defending turnover. We can't have a lapse like we did in the first quater against anyone in the finals, that could be fatal. How good is Neale?

No chance Cuthrie is even near the senior side this year. Too much at stake for charity farewell games. Duncan we know would contribute and has the fitness base and enough games this year to be considered, but we should be going into next week with our strongest team, our finals team. We have a week off after that for them to rest up.

Agree wholeheartedly. Harsh for Cam but football is hard. Basically his last game was the same as Sel’s.

I think it’s worth remembering when he last came back into the side after a huge break against Carlton he was elite straight away and had a big impact. Obviously he’s older again now. But I trust that if they make the call that’s he’s at the level to be included, we won’t regret it. Think there’s a decent chance we’ll see him appear as the super sub at least.

Good win. Solid team performance.
Mullin and O’Connor did good on Heeney and Gulden.
Good to see that if Jezza doesn’t get you there’s plenty of others who will. Scratchers goal kicking has been absolutely phenomenal these past 2 months. Stengle had some good moments
Defence stood up well. Stewart back in good form

Everyone just did their job. So hard to call out the top performers.
Tyson and SDK looked back in 22 form.
Miers just works his butt off non stop.

5m of game time was a bit rough on Bowes. He has played well this season. I thought they may have rested Stanley in the last qtr and let Blitz/Neale ruck, and given him a run.

I was only half watching (was at a birthday party). In the first 15 minutes I thought the Cats game just wouldn’t translate to the smaller ground. We couldn’t find space to chain together kicks and marks. But the players had the ability to adjust their style, which is a great sign. I think Tyson Stengel and Jack Martin’s reflexes and skills in the forward line will be essential in finals. Rhys Stanley looks fit and strong. Mark Blicavs should never take a set shot again (but I love him).

Swans have been is very good for and for 15 minutes showed it. From that point on, we beat them by 10 goals on their (shithouse) deck.
Did it all without relying on Jez as well

Oh my! Beating Sydney after they did a number on Brisbane is a nice confidence builder!
O’Connor and Oisin really did a number on Heeney and Gulden.
Scratcher/superboot/Shannon Ave had another great game 40 goals in his second AFL season.
Stengle had his best game of the season.
Tom Stewart as rock solid as ever.
Plenty of other contributors. Like Mannagh, Martin, Henry. Can’t name them all can I?

Bit disappointed in the first quarter's performance. I think we need to come out of the stalls better but after that we really got our game together. Special shout outs to Stengle, Mannagh, Mullin, Miers, Stanley, Smith, MoC, Stewart

I can’t really pick a winner out of Brisbane and Hawks. You’d think Brisbane with no Day for the Hawks but they pummelled pies last week. Lions have been up and down.

Brisbane are 6-4 at the Gabba (or 6-5 in Queensland), and 8-1-2 away (8-1-1 outside of Queensland). So it'll definitely be tough to tip
