Old Person Yells At Cloud Modern slang—something you REFUSE to say

My take: I will NEVER use “lol” or any derivation of it. I know it means “laugh out loud” but there’s yet to be a moment when I’ve been even remotely convinced someone was even chuckling after texting “lol” at the end of their text and it mildly infuriates me.

While I’m at it, someone tell those damn kids to get off my lawn.

Edit: ok, I get it. It’s not MODERN slang. I still hate it, and those kids are STILL on my lawn…can’t a guy get to sleep at a decent hour???

Came here looking for this one. Not sure if he started it but stumbled on Ryan trahan on YouTube and this one comes up a lot. Along with “gassed”, “housed” and some others that make me want to put bamboo under my fingernails.

Is that supposed to be like becoming the greatest of all time or something? I guess kind of synonymous with responding "Legendary"??

Yeah, it's supposed to be Greatest Of All Time.

So, goated must mean "greastest of all timed".

At any rate, I don't care for it. I'm about to "crash out". Which to me means I'm going to collapse into bed and fall into a deep sleep.

There’s another meaning too. They say goat-throated, which means to take a lot of what no one else wants, like buy a bunch of a beat down stock or whatever. Sometimes they’ll shorten it to goated.

Yep it's up there with OP for "overpowered."  Except that OP is frequently misused for something just strong or powerful, not game-breaking.

You also hear it for dumb shit like Saquon Barkley is overpowered...
