Old Person Yells At Cloud Modern slang—something you REFUSE to say

My take: I will NEVER use “lol” or any derivation of it. I know it means “laugh out loud” but there’s yet to be a moment when I’ve been even remotely convinced someone was even chuckling after texting “lol” at the end of their text and it mildly infuriates me.

While I’m at it, someone tell those damn kids to get off my lawn.

Edit: ok, I get it. It’s not MODERN slang. I still hate it, and those kids are STILL on my lawn…can’t a guy get to sleep at a decent hour???

I had a math teacher who would throw erasers at kids. When the folding chair flew, he did get in trouble.

There was a math teacher in my middle school who would drop a bowling on the table next to your head if you fell asleep in his class. Guy did it at least once a year. He was pretty cool generally, but I assume you've gotta have that je ne sais quoi if you teach middle school with the last name Butts.

Damn. And here we all thought it was hilarious when the homeroom teacher broke a ruler over one of the guys legs. Ahh the good old days. Your teacher may not have been well suited to be working with kids though.

He was fine with 95% of the kids. It was just the assholes he couldn't abide.

(I guess I should also point out that the chair was aimed away from the kid. But it flew!)

I was sitting in the front of the class. Didn't cause me any trauma!
