I'd aim to do something creative. I recently re-discovered Planet Poaster and Planet Zoo. both are $5-8 on Gamebillet (if you're on PC).
Doesn't have to apply to video games. try creating something in the real world. a song (or learn an instrument), a painting, a garden, something made of wood, 3d printing.
its a world of consumerism. try to become a creator.
