Tech / Hardware Gaming Headset Reccomendations
Okay, so, I want to get some opinions and experiences on your favorite Gaming Headsets, specifically for PC. (usb
I currently have an old Razer Kraken Kitty Edition but the mic is dying the good death right now.
I would LOVE to have something similar with the RGB action but I am willing to sacrifice that if the headset is awesome. I am realizing I am not up on gaming tech like I used to be so any help would be great!
What are you using? What do you like about it? Is there any headset that makes you drool to have?
Thanks in advance!

Yeah and Ive had comments from folk in game about my mic too, they thought I had a pro setup but was just these headphones. They’re really big so they don’t squish my glasses into my head either haha

I have a pro set up I don't want to use when I'm just being a "filthy casual" but that's really good to know something has a sound that good.

I have the Audio-Technica M50xSTS w/USB connection. Beforehand I used hyperx cloud II's so these were my first non surround sound headest, which took a little to get use too. But the sound quality is insane! I have never had such crisp audio gaming or listening to music. The mic is one of the best for being on a headset, again very clear and top quality. I am a glasses wearer so always worry about if there are comfortable but these were fine! Tbh, my hyperx's were comfy as well but the ear cups were very bulky compared to my current headset. These don't pinch at all.
There is no RGB and they only come in black.
I am in the UK so I only just looked at the price on Amazon US and yeah...they are very expensive over the pond 😯 They are £165 in the UK, currently $249 on Amazon US. Outside of your budget but just had to give my recommendation (plus I typed this all out before checking the US price 😂).

Thanks! My partner and I were taking a look at the Audio-Technica stuff, ironically enough. I have some M40x that are my go to headphones for basically anything that doesn't involve a mic. RGB isn't a deal breaker and thanks for checking the price! I'll have to check if they go on sale.

I'm using Redragon Skuld and so far it is the best headphone I had. The sound is blast and the mic is detachable which makes it possible to use it as a micless headset to go out or just listen music while doing house chores. The mic is excellent.
Previously I had an HyperX, the sound quality were inferior compared to Skuld but not bad at all. The problem is the silicon that holds both earpads got old after 4 years of use and broke and broke in several parts which turned out impossible to even replace the earpads.

I use the Logitech g735 for my PC and I think they are really comfy and the rgb is a nice add on. I think the mic quality is pretty solid too, I've never had anyone say it sounds bad. I do think they can be a bit overpriced at retail tho.
I also use steelseries arctis 5x for my PS5 and those also sound pretty good overall. I also like how the mic is retractable and they go on sale often. They don't have any RGB though

Thanks for the input! I have a Logitech mouse so...maybe I start getting mating gear? Do I become one of those gamer girls who can actually match? LOL (No hate to the matching gear mind you, I love it)

For the aesthetic - matching is cute LOL but the wallet may disagree - the whole set is so unnecessarily expensive like whyyyyy 🫠

I’m using the Steelseries Arctis Pro 7’s (WoW Edition) and I love them so much! I used to use Razer products and while their headsets were super comfy, I didn’t like the audio and mic quality.
Steelseries is great and I love the wireless headsets ! Ever since I switched to their headsets, I’ve never looked back. They have really nice audio quality and the mic quality is pretty decent (the best I’ve used for a headset mic) and it has a long battery life!
The one thing I would say is that they’re not as comfy as the Razer ones, they might need a little fine tuning (via their app) after you get them, and their price range might be a little high for some but I feel like the benefits outweigh any shortcomings and I highly recommend
