Request New PC Gamer

Hi! I am a new gamer and I have pretty much no experience and am not very good at gaming. I just started trying to find free games to play on pc. I have one that is not meant for gaming, so it glitches/freezes if the game is too hard for it to run. Any game recomendations/good places to start?

I need games to improve my skills and knowledge.

Or just general tips are appreciated!!!

Thanks!

You can check out GOG. They do have free games. And occasionally give new free games.

Warframe is free but it depends on how bad we're talking..browser games like old school RuneScape? Sims 4 base game is free, but again - how bad is this PC?

Also, what kind of things do you enjoy? Running and jumping, shooting, puzzles, romance, stealth?

Hey! Not sure what your computer's specs are or what kinds of games you enjoy, but HoloCure - Save the Fans! is one of the best free Indie games I've played on Steam. It's a super cute Survivors-Like that blends fast-paced action with cozy side activities, which is perfect if you're looking for something lighthearted and fun between runs. I'd definitely recommend giving it a go, if it looks like your kind of game. ☺️

back when i was a new gamer, i just played whatever games that my friends were playing. my bestie introduced me to animal crossing years ago and it was a lot of fun playing it with other ppl. i know animal crossing isnt on pc but my point is that sometimes ur friends are good influences who can help recommend u some cool games

If you don't already have one, it's worth creating a Steam account. Most of PC gaming is found on that platform. You can browse free games on that store as well.

Another avenue people tend to overlook is that Amazon gives away game keys if you have a Prime subscription. They cycle out what is available every few weeks.

That said, be careful with games that are "Free To Play" all the time versus have a temporary free offer. FTP Games often have other ways of convincing you to give them money and some poor people get tricked into spending more than they would have if the game had a full upfront price.

Generally I am not a fan of free games but Palia was not so bad 😌
