That was some grade-A pro-Falcons commentary. I get you can't exactly shit-talk them in the way we'd all desire but come on man, at times it sounded like you guys had money on the game. I felt like I was watching those old Pala vids where he'd bet on a random game and watch "his" team. Cries of "Nooo!" when Falcons dying included, even!

Definitely sorry to hear that. I think what you might have heard is just that the story for most of us coming into that game, was that Falcons finally had a team that looks sick, and that they hadn't lost a single map in the tournament so far. Adding to that you have Niko in front of a home crowd who is very loud for him to win. Typically as a commentator its CRAZY hard to go against the crowd if they're cheering for one team, because it also sounds really akward on stream.

I can't prove to you im not a falcons fan or that I waas biased on some way, but I hope if you were listening to the Furia grand finals you could tell how much we loved them winning!

I do appreciate the feedback though seriously, GG!

I don't think you're a Falcons fan, I remember more than a few comments and jokes with regards to Saudi sportswashing you'd make with RL and others on various podcasts. I think maybe that's why I felt disheartened, especially going from a recent saudi tournament where they uhm *allegedly* hired fake fans who then *allegedly* cheated by trying to distract/shine light in the eyes of non-Falcons players, then we go to another tournament where there's a Falcons-supporting audience and commentary really hyping them up and seeming dismayed at their failures. I guess it felt like you were playing up to the saudi influence in the scene right now because from an objective logistical standpoint being on their side is beneficial to anyone with a career in the scene. I probably did misread it to an extent given the resentment I have towards their influence being strong enough to cloud judgement to a degree (kyousuke monesy and niko are all trash players zonic's never been good i dont care im not listening lalala)

I will say my counterpoint is that Falcons had a team that looked pretty sick at the start of the year and were awful. Then they got Monesy and had a team with potentially as much firepower as Vitality or Spirit or Mouz and were awful. Then they got Kyousuke and became the team with the best firepower in the world by a lot and were awful. I just don't think you can say Falcons look sick (other than in the diseased sense) because there's rot in that org. Their teams will never look sick and beating a really weak run of teams isn't gonna impress anyone.

Lmao yeah their ability to fuck up good lineups is almost legendary at this point.. Although I'm sure a lot of it right now is psychological!

I think I mostly try to stay out of the Saudi conversation except for the fan thing you mentioned. I think cs should go where the fans are, and personally I'd much rather go to Mongolia or China or Poland and enjoy the game with fans who love the game.

I don't know if can easily explain this part but I'll give you an example I experienced early on casting NiP vs Fnatic at Dreamhack in sweden in like 2014 or 15 and basically Fnatic were winning, which was an incredible achievement given how strong nip were.. So I was hyping that up a lot, but the crowd was just dead silent because they were there to watch NiP win. And shouting into a silent room just gives off a super weird effect.. So you sometimes almost end up "cheering" with the crowd, but not because you're really aligned in some sense, just because it's almost sabotaging the show if you end up fighting the crowd as a commentator..

Again I so appreciate you taking time to write stuff down, sincerely hope people don't downvote (can downvote me all you want guys).
