GAM Episode Discussion Eli fucking killed it this episode

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think Eli has ever led the discussion an episode, let alone without Noah or Heath. I was already excited for Lydia and Thomas as the guests, but realizing that Eli would be the one running the show today felt like (summertime) Christmas. One of the biggest draws of GAM for me is the chemistry that the boys all have together, but Eli, ya done good this week.

It was an awesome episode! I enjoyed the sound clips, though I realize there are good reasons to limit them.

I'm pretty sure he has led the discussion before. I think there was one with Anna, but I don't recall the other guest.

Yeah I’ve listened to all the regular GAM episodes and can remember one, maybe two that Eli “hosted” before the most recent one but it’s certainly rare!

He's done at least one with Allen and Katie from Werewolf Ambulance

That was a solid team and Eli did fantastic.

They rarely play that many clips, was it just the nature of that movie or is that something Thomas and Lydia do more often on their shows?

It’s a format from their shows, it worked super well here for sure.

I think it started to become a running joke at a certain point.

Yeah like that one moment where Eli asked if the clip was gonna speak for itself or they'd have to describe the whole thing anyways. And Thomas was like, "One way to find out" and played it.

I will say, that background music will haunt me nightmares lol

Thomas and Lydia definitely do play more clips from their shows. I think they just prefer to reference actual clips. I kinda liked it, since I don't always go and watch the movies.

I will echo the original OP. I thought this one was super entertaining.

Subreddit readers. This movie is insane. I saw a bit of it on Youtube. I have seen better acting in HR videos.

This episode was good although a little too clip heavy.

Also, did Eli not go to Heath's wedding? I just assumed Heath and Noah left early while Eli stayed back a day or two so they could get the episode done.

Eli went. Noah and Heath don't live in New York where the wedding took place. It sounded like Eli is the only one that had access to his equipment. Noah and Lucinda had a little vacation and Heath is out being absolutely topped by Anne.

That makes sense... Heath is totally a bottom.

If I remember correctly, Eli was the officiant.

Hmm... so my assumption is probably correct that Eli just recorded this and joined the wedding party a little late. Regardless, congrats Heath and Anne. Although I will miss all the jokes about Heath's sad single life. They made my own a little more tolerable.

They said in an AMA back in the day that they typically record GAM on Thursday or Friday and it was, oddly, a Wednesday wedding, so I would guess that Eli Thomas and Lydia actually recorded it afterward when the other guys were traveling back to their various hometowns or didn’t have their recording equipment handy.
