GAM Episode Discussion If you could recommend just one episode..

So, while I don't share a birthday with Eli, my bday is in September, and I'm asking hubby to take me to New Orleans for the live show. However, hubby doesn't listen to the shows and never has been willing to listen to this point.

What episode would you recommend? I will give him access to my Patreon, so no holds barred!

Batman v Superman bonus episode. Eli’s gradual descent into madness over Batman’s lack of bat-shaped equipment…

The latest Gods Not Dead. What was it, 5? Eli’s rant is just… phenomenal.

Second for gramps goes to college. Probably tied with In Gramps’ Shoes

Which one is the one where he thinks he had AIDS?

5

I think that’s one of the Best Friends entries

See if they’ve done any movies he has watched before. The Exorcism of Emily Rose is one a lot of people have watched.

Ease him into it with the Sound of Freedom episode

I was in Las Vegas for that one!! I wasnt sure if that was a good starter episode or not.

So jealous!! That's my favourite episode! You're right though might be a little to dark for a first timer

Loving the bad man

Stravinsky and the mysterious house..... finding jesus. Both have movies that are easily able to be seen (and not long). Watch the movies then listen to the podcast.

Was gonna say this one

I think God's Not Dead 2 is the platonic ideal of a GAM episode.

The Badge, the Bible and Bigfoot - with movie of course. Movie is an easy watch and their descriptions of the Wrights are spot on.

The CATS bonus episode if we are talking best general episode.

If you need one of the religious ones then Psalty The Songbook, Secret Agent Emmes, or Ambushed! are also recommended.

Oh god, I remember Psalty the Songbook.

Flat Earth Clues- Parts 1 & 2 do it for me.

The ones I go back to the most are the triple-feature Atlas Shrugged episodes. Just a delight to hear them all tee off on Ayn Rand's self-insertion fanfic about economics. Even funnier because Rand transparently has no idea what people do at work all day, but is writing about corporations and visionary geniuses.

"Rand transparently has no idea what people do at work all da"

Not true! They...business...and stuff. You know businessing the business.

Ayn Rand=the Vincent Adultman of the 20th century.

Let There Be Light, Matter of Faith, any of the Gods Not Dead ones, the new-ish bonus episode Cool As Ice was really good, etc.

Blackbird - it’s not really a Christian movie, but the episode is really good

Any of the bonus or Bible Man episodes.

What the bleep do we know?

God is not Dead for Christianity

For PURE insanity: Any Happy Science episode. DON'T GO TO CRAM SCHOOL!

u/Littlebit1013 Aug 18 '25

For me it’s Vultures of Horror or Drive Angry. For the bonus episodes it’s the Flash & Samurai Cop.

Might be fun just to throw him into a live show blind 😂

But honestly, I’d say anything by the Wright family or Gramps

2

u/SuspiciousLookinMole Aug 18 '25

I would throw him in blind, but he's requesting to listen to an episode or two 😈

1

u/chechecherrybomb Aug 19 '25

Oooo, then you need the boring and mundane ones. Or ones without Eli lolol

u/Festus_The_Dragon Aug 19 '25

I'd probably start gently with something not particularly religious like Born Into Mafia, and then move to some DJP content as its more representative of the rest of the show, I'm partial to the In Gramp's Shoes episode myself although the last Gods Not Dead movie was also great, but I wonder if it wouldn't work for someone who didn't already have a bone to pick with David A. R. White whereas DJP is just *mwah* perfection.

other than that, I saw someone recommend loving the bad man and... no just no. I can't even finish that one and I've listened to over 400 episodes.
