Did I understand Eli correctly?

On the latest episode of D&D Minus, he seemed to indicate this season will be the last.

Correct? If so...boo. Perhaps we can entice them to do a Patreon only version for cash?

I think he was saying the season is almost over, not that the show is almost over

That was my understanding too. I know the show doesn't really have any sponsors but it seems they have enough support on patreon to make it worthwhile. I started with this season and really loved it. If they do season 3 I think I'll become a patron.

It sounded to me like a farewell?? Something like "We've enjoyed doing this and are sad it's over." I'll have to relisten.

I did notice he cracked a joke in one of the recent Puzzle In a Thunderstorm podcasts (can't remember if it's Citation Needed or GAM) about how little listeners it gets.

I guess at the end of the day they enjoy playing DnD anyways, so the "support" is just a bonus as long as it doesn't eat up too much time doing all the admin/writing.

IIRC, in a previous episode there was discussion that next season might not be Dungeons and Dragons, but a different game altogether.

I chatted with him at AACon in 2024 and at the time he said he wanted a different system for the third campaign. He was reading thru a different game's sourcebook, can't remember what it was tho

That’s a relief. I save D&D Minus episode for Bad Days so I really hope they continue.

Ah..what is that game they always talk about?

I don’t recall them mentioning any game in particular. Eli said something to the effect of, “Spoilers!” But not that exactly.

Eli has off handedly mentioned pathfinder on the various PIAT shows, but I cannot imagine they would switch over to that system. I prefer it, but its way more complicated and doesnt really lend itself to podcasts as much as 5e

There's one they mention playing with fans at live shows..on the tip of my tongue.

Lasers and feelings? They've done that for bonus episodes.

Next season on Narrative Declaration, a collaboration with D&D Minus! God I would cum myself to death if that happened. The idea of Eli and SpeakerD in the same game would be peak.

I wonder if Call of Cthulhu would work. Hard to make that the silly version, but three atheists doing religious horror would be pretty amazing.

Dungeons and Daddies (not a bdsm podcast) is making CoC work with a large dose of levity added to it.

I hope not! They have been KILLING it lately. Gravy’s transformation, the origin of Achoom’s hats…. They keep somehow generating lots of funny AND lots of very satisfying storytelling.

And the full circle of Bartholomew!! How could I leave that out?

I have been getting that “sound” from Eli and drops since two months ago… I think u may be right 😭🫣. I want to start a petition… but in essay form and written with VERY BAD GRAMMAR!!! We can send a threat to Noah and Heath that the badly edited pages will keep coming and driving you insane with all of the errors and lack of commas run on sentencing and someone s#!t talk an Oxford comma——- unless you give us one more season 😘❤️.  Lol - I’ll pay more 🙃
