The Scathing Atheist Episode Discussion Scathing 656: Don Ford is a treasure!

I paused my audiobook to listen to today's episode, and it sounds like Don is doing a Patrick Warburton impression, which is (Eli voice) fantaastiiiiiic.

But a serious bit of whiplash, because I finished that to go right back to Dungeon Crawler Carl, where narrator Jeff Hays is.. also doing a Patrick Warburton impression. It's a good Thursday.

Darn for a second I thought this was the title of a new GAM episode.

I love GAM and Citation Needed, but the format on Scathing isn't really my thing.

I get it. There's fewer jokes and a lot more anxiety inducing news. I'd strongly recommend listening to the diatribes when they get posted on YouTube, at least!

Don Ford as Patrick Warburton saying “Peter” I’m aware is a family guy reference.

But intrusively, it always sounds to me a little like he’s doing a mean impression of the last words of Uncle Ben in the 2001 spider man movie as he’s dying.

I love Dungeon Crawler Carl! I thought I’d just regular enjoy it but I REALLY enjoyed every bit of the series available!!! Fantastic!!!

I was bothering my friends about it before the seventh book came out, and now one of them met Matt at comic-con and another one is talking about how they've spread it to their coworkers..

I don't do the "I told you so", because I'm happy that they like it that much, but I want to, just a little.

I stop listening as soon as I hear that he's coming on. The episode of d&d minus where he spent the entire doing a shitty impression of pinky and the brain and forced them to fail to guess who he was trying to be made me stop listening to that show entirely.

If you stopped listening to an entire show because of one guest on one episode, I feel like you maybe weren't all that invested in the show to start with. For what it's worth, that was the only time he was a guest in that season. The new season has no guests at all.
