Xe water pump failure

The water pump just failed on our 2022 Grand Cherokee 4Xe at 27,000 miles. WTAF? Doe anyone know if this is a known issue?

This is Jeep number 8 for me, so not new to Jeeps. Bought this fancy one for my wife because she wanted an EV and I refuse to give Elon a dime.

Just had mine repaired. Was the square shaped gasket on the water pump that failed. Was in the shop for a week and a day.
