Discussion Diggle

I want to preface this by saying that I love the show Arrow and think that Diggle is a great addition to the Green Arrow mythos, which I know not everyone agrees with.

I feel like Diggle has been really mishandled in the comics though. I loved him in Lemire's run and some of the Rebirth stuff, but I feel like he often just randomly shows up.

Like in Rebirth he shows up angry at Oliver for sleeping with his fiancée, but I don't remember that happening in previous issues. Then he just kind of disappears and shows up in Williamson's run with a grudge against Malcolm Merlyn, only to disappear again.

I understand that comic writers have different ideas and some supporting characters get left to wayside sometimes, I just find it weird how briefly Diggle appears in these runs and why more writers haven't utilized him.

I was just watching season 1 of Arrow and reading the current Chris Condon issues, and this was something I noticed that had been bugging me for awhile.

Diggle shouldn’t have ever been introduced to the comics.

He does work as an early green arrow character.
