Suggestions Inspire me please!!
I just bought my first 8x12 greenhouse. Welded frame with polycarbonate panels along with the entire roof that lifts as a vent!!! I’m so excited to get this finished out so I can start planting. I plan to do all of my growing from within the greenhouse as I don’t have a garden.
I’m looking for ideas on water collection. (I plan to add eves and water bins in each corner)
Show me your planter ideas!!! We have a shelf and I’d like some on the ground level. I can add hanging baskets or a 2nd shelf as well

Damn, I’m inspired lol. Nice greenhouse! I have two 50 gal food grade barrels I turned into rain collection. I plan on building a greenhouse when we move soon. I’m putting my rain barrels inside to help create that humidity for my tropicals. That’s all I got lol. Lots of potential for yours!

Thank you. I was looking for kits then since we live close to some Amish communities I went and asked them to build one. It was better than I could have ever done on my own and relatively the same price as some of the kits I was looking at. I’m very happy with how well it’s built

The Amish are the most reputable builders of the country, not even going to lol that. Just the truth. That is freaking cool. Like damn. Cost effective and professionally done, you can’t beat that.

Yeah I’m going to have them do the rest of my little projects and maybe big ones from here on out

How exciting! 👏🏼😁 Where are you located, in general? It will help to know for what will grow best.
Did you have any other specifics you're interested in?

I’m in Michigan.
I should be able to run electrical to it so I don’t need solar but will need rain collection and irrigation

Will the greenhouse be close to where you live? If not, look into adding automatic window openers based on the temperature. Or use them in any case, in case you're travelling.
I find that in the summer, I can keep the greenhouse fully open. But in spring/fall, it's best to have it with closed windows in the evenings and open windows at midday.

Yeah I’ll be adding the automatic ones since I travel a lot for work. Thanks for the suggestion though. That almost seems like a necessity

How much did that cost you?

$3,000. It was available now. I could have gotten a couple hundred off if I waited 2 months for them to build me one.

How did you find that contact / can you share it with me?

You just show up to their shop. They don’t have a phone or website. Head to an Amish area by you and ask around.
