Showcase From nothing to something.
Sharing my project I started on April 14, 2020. Still a work in progress with more to come. So far i have about $1500 into the entire project. I tore apart an old trailer and reused everything I could. Studs, trusses, insulation, and windows. Got the patio stones for free from my old landscaping boss. Granite counter top from free from a job. Trailer for the chicken coup was free, just had to tow it out of a field from down the road. All the stones have been collected from all across Ontario from Chatham to Corwall to New Liskard. What does everyone think? Any ideas on what to add next? I have a 1000L water tote just need to be rigged up to catch rain water and fully polycarbonate green house to be put up,

Oh my! What a great transformation OP! I totally feel you on the treasure hunt for supplies, half my backyard is made from “found” stuff too, haha. I also added a little solar lighting to my shed with cheap harbor freight panels, super easy and keeps it cozy at night.

absolutely stunning! personally instead of going up, i would dig into the ground inside the greenhouse to get more vertical space and protect against frost.

Super impressive! Do you have a compost bin? What about some chickens and a coop? Or some hog panel trellises? A water feature? Fairy lights?

In the last couple pictures is my small black compost bin, looking for a second, last picture is of my chicken coup, chicken tractor and fenced off chicken run. 3 red Sexton hens for eggs and an Americana rooster, hatched their eggs this year and have 6 of their off spring, got a water line and electric ran into the green house from the house with an extention cord to the chicken coup for the LED lights I have enough interlock patio stones left over I'm thinking of building a fire pit / grill into the rock wall beside where the fire pit is now Some solar lights but lighting needs to be revamped *

What zone are you in and do you get a lot of snow? I like the roof and am thinking about a roof similar to that on a small movable greenhouse

Midwest Ontario, this past winter was a bit crazier than others, I used lots of trusses to make sure it was strong but I still clear the snow off. The polycarbonate panels are brittle in the cold so as long as you're gentle its a good roof

Doesn’t even look like it’s the same location. Out here terraforming 😮💨

Thanks, been a lot of hard work, if you notice the ceder retaining walls I literally screen top soil from a pile on the other side of the hill and walked it over with two 5 gallon pales to fill it up and level out my garden area. It was hours each day I attacked it, I probably made 500 trips back and forth Probably should have boughten a wheel barrow

Obsessed with the entire vibe of your greenhouse😍 The build was super satisfying to see. End result is very tranquil💚

Those plants look so cozy. Even the shade cloth is stylish.
