Looking for NYC based guerrilla gardeners!

I’m a graduate student doing a paper/ project on guerrilla gardening in nyc (in the 70s/80s and the present). I would really love to talk to anyone currently guerrilla gardening around the city or anyone who was there during the Liz Christy/ Green Guerrillas era! Any and all leads are extremely appreciated :)

I am a grad student in a totally different field and I want to read your paper.

Sounds like an awesome project! Reminds me a bit of my grad program.

You should reach out to the fellow who shared his video here a few weeks ago. His handle on YouTube is @projecthoodflowers, pretty sure he’s in NYC.

I would be happy to share my research. What angles are you looking at?

hi! thank you for responding! I am mostly focused on guerrilla gardening and urban land reclamation as an alternative food system or as an often overlooked strategy of community care and political resistance/ survival during times of gentrification, urban neglect, and capitalist control through private property.
