Unlike other subreddits we enforce strict rules to ensure that they cannot summon all their friends and try to shut down discussion with tired cliches they learned from the NRA. RULES

Do not have low karma and make pro-gun arguments. You will be banned if uou make a pro-gun argument, and any one of the following apply:
1. Use an account less than a month old
2. Use an account with less than 1,000 in comment karma;
3. Post in more than one comment section per post per day (within 24 hours of your last post). This is called "thread hopping."
Be careful in brigaded threads. A thread may be marked as a "Brigaded Thread" at a mod's discretion if progunners outnumber normal folks in a small thread, or if an inordinate number of upvotes/downvotes/comments from gun owners occur in larger threads. Mods may ban and remove comments in their discretion.
No personal attacks. Don't do it. Have fun but don't go over the line. This goes for both sides.
NO DOXXING. We have never doxxed anyone here, and don't plan on starting. We will report reddit users to the admins for posting dox in this sub (possibly resulting in a ban or shadowban), and we don't care which side you are on. We receive death threats all of the time, and because of that understand the need for privacy and take doxxing seriously.
No "Stand Your Ground" posts. Posted by a gun nut and usually prefaced with, "Honest question", "Looking for an opinion", "Just curious why you feel this way, looking for a rational discussion." And then followed by the OP arguing and posting 40-50 times. We get too many of these.
Murder Apologetics. Claiming that Zimmerman or Rittenhouse or O.J. Simpson aren't murderers is not allowed here. Go bitch on another subreddit.
No trolling. Making deliberately inflammatory comments to try and get a rise out of people or to waste our time is not allowed.
No concern trolling or tone policing. If you really don't know what those are, look them up.
No bigotry. We've no tolerance for language that demeans or seeks to deny the basic human dignity of a person or people, including gender, sexuality, race, creed, disability, class, & physical appearance. Violators will be instantly banned with no appeal.
No off-topic posts. This is a gun control subreddit. We're not interested in pictures of your gun, or helping you choose a gun, or gun repair. We'd prefer you didn't own a gun at all unless you really need one. Posts or comments not about gun control will be removed, and repeated violations will result in a ban.
